I'll start ripping this appart on my own. First, I was surprised how much the lift specs varied just by tweaking the testing points in minor ways. I look forward to getting some other tractors out there to see how honest everyone is with their lift specs. At this point, don't make any major conclusions based upon the draw bar pulling. I need to take another look at the testng procedure to see how I can make it more consistant and fair. Its going to take some experiementing to get this down to the point where its repeatable and accurate. Case in point, for the first draw bar test I hooked the BX up to the back of my truck with the parking break set. The tractor quickly started to pull around the field.

If anyone has any suggestions about tests that could be done or how my rough procedures could be improved let me know.

Thanks for your effort, this kind of information is much needed by all.It will help us to better understand that measurements which are given at different locations can vary a great deal, and yet be of little relevance. What we need is real world numbers that can be used for real comparisons.I hope to see many more articles like this in the future.
