    Warrenty Repairs Poll.

I thought it would be interesting to look at the % of machines that have been in the shop for a warrenty repair. It could provide an interesting tidbit of information for those concerned about dealer support.

Have you ever had a warrenty repair done on your machine?

    • Yes, I've had repairs done under warrenty (77.8%)
    • No, I've never had a warrenty issue crop up. (22.2%)

    Re: Warrenty Repairs Poll.

I had a factory recall on my loader on my New Holland, I guess that would qualify for a warrenty repair so I answered the poll that I have had a warrenty repair.  I've had a couple mower deck belts snap and part of the mower suspension had to be replaced because it bent (out of warrenty, but I mow some rough ground so I am not complaining that 1 part of the finish mower suspension rattled loose 1 time)  The tractor itself has been bulletproof.  Despite the loader factory recall, which didn't seem to even be a real problem, this tractor is my favorite tractor to use for loader work.  While only a few years old, it has almost as many hours on it as the Kubota, which is has been owned twice as long.

No problems at all with the Kubota.  Again, perfectly bulletproof.  We don't mow with this tractor.  7 years old and still using the original battery.  I own this in partnership with a neighbor, great tractor, but now even he comes over and uses the New Holland for loader work when he has a chance.

My headlight shorted out on my Ventrac within the warrenty period, there is no local dealer and I spoke with the dealer over the phone, he gave me a bunch of things to dig into to fix it, I tried, it is still not fixed.  Not a problem because I don't mow with that tractor at night, but it would qualify as a problem that should have been covered under warrenty.  Dealer was very helpful, answered all my questions, but I just gave up on the repair and didn't feel like trailering it from Indiana to Wisconsin so the dealer could fix it.

I bought my current Cub Cadet used, out of warrenty.  It is now about 15 years old.  That little tractor has been abused badly, but it is like a tank that mated with the Energizer Bunny.  No matter how many trees or buildings it has hit, it just keeps mowing and mowing and mowing.  I've had to replace the battery & belts due to normal wear and tear.  The mower deck suspension had to be bent back into shape a couple times, and a few other parts like that have had to be replaced due to user created damage.  This tractor gets used by employees and they do not treat it with much respect, still, it works great.

The old Cub Cadets are great.  Used to have one, can't kill them unless you have a complete moron work on it - which was my mistake!

I just purchased a GT 2550 Cub Cadet.  NEVER AGAIN!  I got hosed for $4065, used it THREE TIMES,  been at dealer for warranty issues for FIVE WEEKS!!!

CUB CADET REPS & THE DEALER ARE THE RUDEST PEOPLE  I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.  But when they were all there at my purchase, everything was wonderful until they got my money.

Sadly I may have to pursue legal avenues to resolve this whole issue.  I should have gotten a John Deere.  Lesson well learned.

I am tired of waiting on opportunity to knock! I'm just gonna open the door and drag it inside, kicking and screaming!
