    Stihl BR-600 Backpack Blower

I had a Homelite backpack blower but decided it was time for something new.

With some guidance (thanks Neil), the Stihl BR-600 was selected.

All I can say is WOW!  If you want to move leaves, this machine will do it.  At idle, it blows about the same as the aforementioned Homelite at full speed.  I've used it to remove loose paint on a 15' ceiling and hit had no problem blowing the chips off.

The Stihl 4-mix makes for easy starting and running.  It starts right up and I can immediately turn off the choke and it idles nicely.  Never had any other 2-cycles (except my other 4-mix machines) be able to idle like that.

If you're a smaller person, you may find it feels heavy after awhile.  My 10-year-old daughter uses it but finds the weight too much after about 20 minutes.  Another thing if you're small is watch out when you first pull the throttle trigger.  It'll push you backwards.

That thing really is amazing isn't it. We've been using them to clear snow off tractors during the winter.
