    49" or 53" bucket for JD 2305

Looking for advice on whether to put a 49" or 53"  bucket on my JD 2305 tractor.  It will be used mainly for snow removal and general landscaping duties.   Some dealers say the 49" is the only way to go and others say to put on a 53" as it better covers the tractor width when plowing/pushing snow.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    I'd go with the 53".
Like a rear blade, you want/have to be a bit wider than the tractor itself.
If you told me your daily use would be hauling stone or clay or other heavy item in the bucket, I'd probably say 49" (due to the material weight as well as hitting the pile) but for snow and general landscape, I'd definitely go with the wider.

That is kind of what I was thinking....I will be hauling some stone for landscaping but I just figured I would not fill the 53" bucket as full and I could still haul the same amount of weight as in a 49" that is filled a little more.  I may be moving some dirt around as well.  Thanks

The smaller bucket is better suited to the capacity of the tractor, but you reasoning for the larger is absoluty correct. If your doing snow, I'd want it.
