Re: New Tractor Buyer trying to wade through the muck

You must be Neal.  Sounds like you know your stuff so I was hoping to get your opinion on some new tractor thoughts I was having as well.

My farm is much smaller, 16 Acres.  I grow Christmas Trees mostly and garden a lot.  I have a lawn tractor for fine mowing around the hose, that is not at issue.  I laso have an older TO-20 Ferguson and a Mitsubishi MT-100.  The TO-20 is used for heavier pulling and brush hogging.  Also for snow plow with back blade, but it is not very good at that.

The MT-100 is for mowing and tilling.  Has turf tires so the impact on nicer grassy areas when mowing is not so rough.  I can't use this in the winter, although i do love rthe 4 wheel drive.

I am thinking of a new tractor to replace the two above.  If I could find one that would plow snow, have PTO RPM's to drive mower, enough HP to drive brush hog, 4 whl drive, diesel, heavy enough to handle hauling logs and dealing iwth heavy snow, yet not damage grassy areas I would have found what I am looking for.  Quite a mouthful?

How narrow do you need to be for your christmas tree rows?
