    What about MF and Case/IH?

I notice there isn't much mention of the compact machines put out by Massey Ferguson (1500 series) and Case/IH (DX series) -- does anyone have any experience with them?  I'm looking for a compact tractor in the 30hp range and, while I favor the John Deere/New Holland/Kubota machines, I'm curious about MF and Case.  Both very solid old brands but they don't seem to get much attention in the compact world.  Any insights?

Case and New Holland machines are the same. Massy is not a very popular compact in the US market, they do better overseas. You just don't see much about them online. Its probably a solid tractor.

Re: What about MF and Case/IH?

I owned a 2006 MF 1533 4x4 shuttle shift with MF 1525 loader.  I sold it to buy a kubota L3240 4x4 FST with a kubota L724 loader with SS bucket.  Comparing the 2 tractors, the kubota is a way finer tractor to me.  The tractor runs much quiter and smoother.  It seems to be more stable with the loader bucket full and the lift capacity and speed of the hydraulics on the kubota seems way superior.  The main reason I sold the MF was my disatisfaction with the poor loader.  Kubota seems to hold a better resale but I really didn't have a problem selling my MF.  It had 142hrs on it and it brought $15,700.00 to the second person that looked at it.  It did look as though it had just been rolled off the showroom floor though.  The new kubota ran $17552.00 plus tax.  Hope this help you out in making your decision.  Good luck!
