    deleting reviews on the website

When people post equipment reviews to this site we capture the internet address of their computer. I've never dug though this informaiton before, but did today. I was able to see some interesting trends. There are particular issues, in this case a problem with a crack on a NH TC30, that are mentioned in many reviews. Turns out that the same person keeps returning and writing reviews on the model and rating it poorly. In the interest of maintaining some level of transparency and fairness whats do you all think would be the best way to handle this? Do I delete all the reviews posted by this person, all but one, do I ban him from the site? Thoughs?

Interesting... Is there a way to move (or tie) the reviews to the forums where others can comment? It does sound like there's a biased owner/operator who's skewing the results. Banning is difficult in that most have a dynamic IP address and you may be banning others that may be using that IP. I'd propose you delete duplicate reviews (leave 1) and qualify it to state that you've found that they're coming from what appears to be the same person.

    Exactly

remove all but one from this guy, then put in your own disclaimer.. We have many reviews all from the same person, in which most all are repetitious and redundant.  We need space for others to post their reviews, be them good or bad.. Please follow this simple rule and post once per subject topic/.

I've often thought about this. I would not be too difficult to do. I guess I'd have some concerns about the kind of thing that would get posted in the forum thread. Some people get really defensive when they read a bad review. There are those who could be helped though... the RTV issues come to mind as the things poeple complain about are largly addressed.
