Kubota BX 1500 I have a chance to buy one, are they pretty good?

I have a chance to buy a 2006 Kubota BX 1500 for $5800, it only has a 125 hrs on it, It looks like a brand new one and runs great.  I just need a few opinions, i have about an acre of grass with some hills that are on a 30% grade (NC Mountains), Let me know if this is a good machine

    Many Thanks , Donnie

very good machine, you may find it a bit underpowered if trying to mow up a steep hill. Its 15 Hp is adaquate for most yards, but you can find its limit on a steep grade while mowing.

Thanks very much for the info.  Most of the banks I will be mowing will be sideways so hopefully it shouldn't be a problem, before I was mowing with a 16 hp snapper rear engine with a 42" cut.  I hope this Kubota will outperform the snapper.

Well I bought the BX 1500, Man what a tractor!  I mowed sideways on the bank and it did fine, The cut is perfect, no scalping , and its nice and even, I've mowed three times and it looks like the fuel hasn't even moved, also my son has made a few trails in the yard driving it around, after he is finished mowing., The power steering is great.  I was wondering about the front of the mower, It seems like it needs a little weight up fron on the slopes, I noticed in the manual it doesn't say anything about loading the front tires, It just mentions the back tires, but it does mention weights for the front. Do you have any guidance on this matter.  Also do you recommend using Synthetic 15/ 40 for the engine oil changes versus standard 15/40

    Thanks Donnie
