    SUDT vs UDT advice

Getting ready to perform my 200 hr/2 year service.  This is the first time that I am doing the change out of fluids and am wondering where one should use SUDT or just the UDT.  I totally understand that SUDT is necessary in the transmission.  What I am wondering, for cost reasons, SUDT @ $66 per gallon and UDT @ $40, is if the SUDT is a must use in the dump hydraulic system?

My local dealer tells me that I really dont even need to change out the dump fluids.  So wonder what you think............Thanks....Dennis

You can buy SUDT for $22 a gallon here... $66 per gallon is insane!

Messick.........Thanks for the reply and I guess I better check around a bit.  I know that I am correct in what the dealer quoted because as I was having a heart attack about it with him over the phone we totaled up how much it would be and it was almost $700.  This the Kubota dealer in Rome, Ga.  For sure I am getting on the phone and call dealers around here to double check the situation.

The question still remains though.  Do I need to use SUDT in the dump hydraulic system?..........

    Thanks Bud........God Bless.......Dennis

Hi D&D, I had a similiar experience with my local dealer trying to way overcharge me . Well, I solved that problem by ordering all of my Kubota supplies from Messick's. They have a great website and helpful desk people. The shipping is VERY reasonable and ,unless you live in PA, there is no  out of state tax!! I ordered enough SUDT and filters to do 2 changes. Check them out if you  care to I know I am sure glad I did.  I don't use my dump that much so I don't change it  .Bordercollie

I don't see what you would need SUDT in the dump circuit, but I'd probably use it just for consistancy sake. You don't want to mix fluids, so pick one and stick with it.
