Looking to purchase a compact tractor

I own 6 acres and would like to purchase a tractor. This will be my first purchase and would like some advice. I will mainly use it for cutting high grass and hauling dirt, gravel and rocks. I was thinking on buying a John Deere model 3520. What do you think? Thanks.

At almost 40 HP, that's a pretty big tractor for 6 acres.

When you say "cutting high grass", are we talking about field or lawn area?

How much dirt/gravel/rocks... do you need to haul?  Is this for a certain project or ongoing over the years?

Can you give us an idea of where you live?  This helps us consider ground conditions, weather/climate... 

I am located in central Texas. The tractor is going to be used for what I call odd jobs that come up around the property. When it comes to cutting grass, it will be high field grass.
