Strengths ] Caterpillar's 446D is by far the best Backhoe Loader that i have got so far in my fleet. It's Digger is very large and very fast reaching up to 17 feet. The machine is very fast on the road and ride's really well with it's Ride Control System. My 446D has Clamshell bucket at the front with the fold over forks which is just superb for any site. These machines are really powerful, tranny has never backed down from any mound of dirt. I love it, it puts my Deere's and JCB's to shame.

Weaknesses The back wheels are too small for the machine that is the only problem i have so far the four years that i have had it. I think thats why it gets stuck in mud so easily. The Cat Agent in Trinidad and Tobago is very poor in their service I Think that some one should do some thing about that, they dont care about customer service.

Overall The 446D is great, good ergonomics my operator has never complained since the four years that he has been operating it. Never had a break down not even a flat tire thats to tell you how good they are. Service checks are easily accessible. I think that if you really maintain a machine like this it could last you at least more than six years. My machine has already done over 10000 hours.
