Strengths Mower cuts good. Nice size for small farm or medium estate. Loader controls are in perfect location for easy operation. Very nice looking. Good layout. Very manuverable. I would like to buy one for parts if anyone has one to get rid of cheap. cgt@wcrtc.net
Weaknesses Hot starting difficult. Deck should raise higher. Poor control of 3-point. My belt used to come off, but the dealer did something, and it is OK now.
Overall Price very good, but quality is definitely an issue. I can fix things which helps, otherwise I would be more upset.

Strengths Tractor well laid out. Designed to operate Mid PTO together with Rear PTO at the same time or seperatly. To bad it does not work.
Weaknesses This Tractor is very difficult to start when cold. I have replaced the mowing deck belts 6 times in 268 hours. The 25HP Kawaski engine is to weak. Have had numerous other problems.
Overall Sorry built with cheap components. Congrats Cub Cadet- you have sucessfully destroyed a legendary name in Lawn & garden tractors. Will never buy another Cub Cadet anything- Ordered a new CaseIH Farmall

Price Paid : $13,000.00
Years of Use : Test Drive
Implements : Loader, Snow Blower, 60" Deck, 48" brush hog, tiller, back blade
Purchased From : Burt Young Sales - Olean, NY
Strengths None
Weaknesses Very poorly engineered and manufactured machine. Differential replaced, dash panel replaced, bent steering cylinder out of the box, extremely poor cold start, warm start flooding, etc. I had this machine back to the dealer many times in the first year. Although the dealer was good about doing work under warranty, the trip was 50 miles one way, and the loss of the tractor for the time in the garage was not reimbursed. Currently the joystick will not return from the left position. The valve is not serviceable. Replacement is $500. Next tractor will be a Kubota. When will manufacturers realize that people want quality and will pay for it. I thought Cub was quality, that's why I bought it. Live and learn - expensively.
Overall Edsel

Implements : Loader, mower from dealer, Tiller, Box blade, Rake, Rear Snowblower
Purchased From : Wellington Implement Ohio
Strengths 200 hours of hard use for landscape and snow removal. Has pulled through 12+ inches of mud and blown through 24+ inches of snow with a 5'5" lofness 3pt blower.
Weaknesses 25HP Kawasaki Gas engine needs lots of choke to get running in cold weather.
Had to add trans heater for reliabe starts under 10 deg F.
Whiny hydro pump when cold since new.
Broke the neutral return spring at 200 hours, and looks to be a hump to get at it.
Overall Nice replacment for my old Allis 720.
Goes anywhere.
Should have gotten the Diesel version.

Implements : Cub Cadet 7254 tractor with a bucket and mower deck.
Purchased From : Umberger's of Fontana in PA
Strengths None!!!
Weaknesses This is the biggest piece of junk I've ever bought!!! I would not recommend the tractor or the dealer to anyone. The tractor can not keep a belt on it. I've replaced 6 in one year and the dealer tells me that's my problem they don't engineer the tractor they only TRY to fix them. This piece of junk in only one year old and has been in the the shop 12 times and only has 37 hours on it. I have been billed for every repair ,where is the warranty? There should be a lemon law for tractors and incompetent dealers such as Umbergers of Fontana in PA.
Overall I should have bought the John Deere or the Kubota I was looking at!!!!! Cub Cadet in nothing more than an over priced MTD!!! I have owned Cubs for 30 years and I will never own another one!!!!
