Strengths I has better traction than the other Cub Cadet Garden Tractor models that I had previously owned.
Was sold by Hetricks Equipment - New Bethelehem PA.
Weaknesses The gas tank is under the hood and not in the rear fender - which makes it dangerous to fill with fuel when the engine is hot. The belt stretches if you store it with the deck up in the wintertime, which makes the belt slip when you use it in high grass - with the deck down all the way. The PTO disengages when you back up. The engine spits and sputters when to try to increase the rpm's with the throttle. The Cub Cadet dealer I bought it from had it for one whole year - and didn't fix anything when I took it in for service. I was told that there was issues with the heads leaking and also with the camshaft. Intermitted problems with the electrical - the lights flicker when you turn them on at night and the PTO is engaged. Trailer Tounge is nothing more than a cheap piece of tin - you can't really haul anything with it - like you could with the older models of Garden Tractor design. No tilt wheel steering.
Overall You can buy a model - that isn't a Garden Tractor, off someone other than a Cub Cadet Dealer - like Tractor Supply, for half the money of this model. The new Cub's at Tractor Supply comes with a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. The steering is sloppy and I bent the tie rod one day when I put it in a compromising situation - which put one tire pointing north and the other tire pointing east. You then couldn't steer it - even to put it on a trailer to take it back to the dealer to get it serviced. It's not a very good model of tractor for anyone that is not mechanically inclined.
