Strengths 27hp power plant, arm rests on seat, cruise control, 54" deck, chick magnet!

Weaknesses Belt slippage when engaging pto, turning radius, hitch on back is not quite heavy enough.

Overall I love this tractor! My family actually has a JD dealership and nothing on the lot compares for the money. I have 2 more neighbors on my street that have bought Cubs and they love them as well.

Strengths Power/ manuverability/big deck/nice hydro trans/cruise control/hour meter

Weaknesses Recessed PTO engagement button is hard to operate for arthritic hands. The old Cub style pull out and lift toggle switch was much easier to use. Deck plugs up too easily.

Overall Great Lawn Tractor! Much better than the John Deere, Craftsman, Snapper and Huffy that I owned in the past.

Overall SELLING IT taking a big loss, but I am not willing to tolerate this junk anymore. Bought it new. 78 hours on it. Belt wont stay on long enough to mow entire yard. Belt tensioning device (iron) was being cut by vibrations of tension spring. Had it fixed - belt still jumps off. Bagging system is a joke - clogs constantly. Trick to use? yes mow without it, let it dry for 4 hours or more, then use bagging system to "sweep" - still clogs. Took bagger off. Deck does not adjust high enough to mow when rains make grass cutting impossible and have to lengthen time between mowing. I thought I was getting a great mower. Very disappointed. Going back to John Deere.

Strengths Mows great on flat land, Speed of tactor can easily be adjusted from pedal linkage. I cut the reverse off the pedal so I could have full speed in forward and reverse, sounds hillbilly, but I get-ur-done fast!

Weaknesses Transmission is WEAK!!!! Can't even pull my 2 boys(3&4) in a wagon up a hill. It's got all the ponies in the world, but if the tranny doesn't match it, it's JUNK! I've had it for just over 2 years, and it's been in for service 3 times. I bought it to work, I'm sad!

Weaknesses Mower deck belt system is junk - vibrates in susch a way that the belt is overstressed and wears out fast Blades are mounted on gear teeth and can't slip at all - this is a bad design - hit something and the shaft/hub breakes

Overall Don't waste your money on this poorly designed mower - spend more and get something better I spend as much time fixing this mower as I do mowing

Strengths Lots of power , Big Deck, Comfortable, Oil Change is a Snap, Mowes 1 acere in about 45 min

Weaknesses Spring on te deck seems to slip off of the mount often but is eaisly fixed, with a 54 in deck it is a liitle hard to move in and out of position but easy to drop and put back up, Home Depot sells the snow bland as a Dozer blade but it is not up to par with a true dozer blade fine for light duty but not majior jobs

Overall Great machine

Strengths Strong motor,Im impressed with the Kohler 27hp plenty of power,yet still fuel effient.Had a 42" cut,I cut my mowing time by 1/3 with 54" cut.Smooth to operate as well,it mows like a dream fully satified so far.

Weaknesses I look @ all the Gt models before i made my purchase.I plan on keeping this machine for a long time.However the only this i was alittle concerned about is the frame strengh.It's rated @ 12 gage where sears is 11 gage. Other models are 10 Gage When i think of Cub Cadet,i think of Quilty,I hope i not disappointed.

Overall I have to say this is the Cadillac, of lawm tractors.It was between theJD & the Cub.I'm glad i buoght the Cub.

Weaknesses rear end for for towing is very weak metal. should be a lot stronger for this size of machine. i also would like to have a front end loader for it. this would be a real nice attachement.
