Strengths 9-gauge steel frame, steel shaft drive, shaft driven 11-gauge steel mower deck, power steering, strong 23hp Kohler V-Twin horizontal engine (2qt capacity w/spin-on oil filter), strong well built Sauer Danfoss hydrostatic pump/transmission (6qt capacity w/spin-on hydraulic oil filter), automotive style air filter w/foam pre-cleaner, easily serviceable 5 grease zerks on front end, *** 13 *** grease zerks on the mower deck, WORST problem -- two (2) grease zerks popped off mower deck. Repaired at NO CHARGE under WARRANTY by DEALER. Dealer has been most helpful -- has picked-up and returned tractor for the two repairs AND servicing. Have medical problems (heart) and SERVICE after the sale -- the BEST!! Not a moment's problem with the GT3100!!! I run it 3 to 5 hours at a time every 3 to 5 days. Cut 2 to 3 acres with it.
Weaknesses NONE as far as I'm concerned.
Overall Cub Cadet -- since 1961 -- manufactures the BEST lawn and garden tractors. Would buy again and again in twenty plus years! It's all in the assembly and service provided by Cub Cadet DEALERS *** N O T *** big box stores!!!
