Weaknesses PTO BELTS ONLY LAST ABOUT 15 TO 20 HOURS. SEAT BROKE IN THE FIRST 40 HOURS OF USE. REPLACED ENGINE AT 22 HOURS.

Overall THIS IS MY 4TH CUB CADET THE FIRST 3 WERE GREAT THIS ONE IS JUNK!!!!!! WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER

Strengths I own a 2005 model GT3200 with 54" deck, triple bagger and 46" snow thrower. Good features, compact and rugged. Price much lower than comparable manufacturers.

Weaknesses Repairs just keep on coming long after warranty has expired. It cost a lot to own. Factory really does not care about problems and dealers use them as an excuse. I have the 2005 model and have replaced many items including the Hydro-gear transmission this spring at $1900 (parts & labor). Many broken welds on deck and deck brackets. It's one thing after another. Too numerous to list. It does a days worth of work between repairs. I would have saved money in the long run if I had bought the JD or Simplicity.

Overall I recommend DO NOT BUY A CUB. They are not about quality or service since bought by MTD. You WILL regret buying a cub. If I didn't have so much invested in it, I'd leave on a street corner somewhere!

Strengths Hard components are solid, engine, tranny, deck frame, steering etc... Lots of capibility for price and compact size. Undercuts equivalent Deere, Simplicity, Kubota. machines in price by thousands while giving up nothing in raw capability. I like the shaft drive trans and deck. Locking diff is a must for hills.

Weaknesses -Quality of some accessories like the snowblower are not on par with the competition. Although the front hitch is very rugged and the plow setup is decent. - The competition has better details like seat suspension, better oil change situation and better fit and finish. Though I'll gladly take $3000 in my pocket and forgo that stuff. It's not bad, the competition is just better. -I'm not supper keen on its looks, though its growing on me. Looks like it has a big shnoz and an overbite.

Overall Bought used with 60 hours on the clock. I have a very hilly and bumpy property. 5 acres with +15% grade in some spots, pretty much all hill. I had a GT1554 that did its best. I started with bar tires, then I had wheel weights, filled tires and added a home made wieght bracket with another 200 pounds. I was pushing the limts of the belt drive, so I put on different pullies and a wider belt. Then I was bumping up against the limits of the transaxle so I changed to a higher viscosity syntnetic fluid and pushed things a little more. It worked for a couple seasons. Nothing broke suprizingly. Though it got hot, slow and it made all kinds of straining noises on the big hills! The 3200 with 2 less horsepower with and just wheel weights on the stock turf tires treats my property like its flat. Lock the diff on the hills and it will climb like its nothing. No speed loss and and barely noticeable RPM change. No moans or groans. Mowing, towing, full speed is always available.

Strengths Lots of power for either mowing or snow removal, I have a 54" mower deck that works my property with ease, and the 46" 2 stage snowblower makes quick work of any amount of snow it tackles

Weaknesses Gas filler, no guage due to form fitting tank, also seat does seem high for the tractor, can't lean over for any reason, switch activates to shut tractor down

Overall I love this tractor, it is a real workhorse

Strengths Lots of power. Love the power steering. Cut is perfect. Differential lock really increases hillside mowing capability.

Weaknesses Hydraulic control levers are positioned too low. Operator ride height seems high. I feel a little too top heavy. The oil drain is in a rediculous place, was the engineer on vacation that day?

Overall I purchased this tractor used with 34 hrs. on it. Overall I,m really happy with it.

Strengths power steering, very powerful (increases speed going up my steep hill), tilt wheel, DIFF LOCK is great in spring mud, I am pleased I spent the money to buy the last tractor I will ever need. I expect it to be mowing 30 years from now.

Weaknesses parking brake light in dash doesn't work parking brake has popped out of lock a few times. Mowing height hard to adjust and know how tall the grass will be when done mowing Hydraulic deck lift really sensitive Bagger chute comes off with deck movements during mowing--most annoying. Dealer isn't helping with much attention Deck wash system is so-so. manual has very few detailed instructions Oil drain hard to get to--hose is included, though.

Overall Should have bought a used 1872 or 1864 with same features. If I had problems with that, at least I could say it is used.
