Strengths Cup Holder
Weaknesses Decreasing reliability and quality. I hate how the blades disengage when going in reverse, then have to push in and pull out knob to get blades to start up again. The angle of the steering caused me to lean forward, creating a pain in my lower back.
Overall I purchased mine in 2004. It has 130 hrs on it now, done all maintenance as required. Blades stopped engaging. Had authorized dealer pick up. Claimed electrical spade failed and had to remove seat, fenders, and rear body. So, for an item less than a buck, it cost me $300 to have fixed due to 3hrs labor at $78/hr and $65 for pick-up and delivery. Mower worked for the front lawn, but started failing again on back lawn. Dealer came and picked-up. This time the diagnosis is the PTO Clutch, which they claim is overheating causing an electrical disconnect, thus disengaging the clutch and the blades. Cost of new Clutch = $370 just for the part, but not including labor. Luckily I discovered in my records that I bought a 3yr extended warranty so all repairs are covered, however, its 2weeks later and I still dont have my mower.
So...for paying $2000 for what I thought would be a quality product, 4 years later I am spending 35% of the cost of the mower on repairs.
I am not a happy camper. I will definitely buy something much cheaper and more simple next time. I may even dump this piece of garbage if possible.
