Strengths The engine runs great, start immediately very strong

Weaknesses Cuts grass like shit. Leaves high spot in middle of double deck. Try to use the mulcher and it leaves clumps of grass. Under deck very hard to keep clean, with grass always clumbing even after washing with the deck hose connector. I've run a lot of lawn mowers in my life never saw one cut as bad even with new blades. Have to go over my lawn twice to make it look fair.

Overall Wouldn't purchase another one. Wouldn't take one free.

Strengths Kohler engine starts easy and runs strong. (100 hours)

Weaknesses Every component troublesome and hard to repair. My 18 year old Dynamark was far superior, but unfortunately it caught on fire and burned up. At 98 hours it needed all belts, (hard to replace drive belts) noisy clutch, and no brakes. Factory blades barely last 30 hours, and the deck design promotes grass clumping. When we downsize our home and yard I will sell it and buy a good push mower.

Overall I should have bought a John Deere or Sears model as my neighbors mowers of that brand have needed no repairs in the same time period.

Strengths The 19 hp koeler engine. That is it!!!!

Weaknesses One big piece of junk!! I have owned this mower for 4 seasons and had to repair something every season. I have replaced all 3 belts and the clutch. It is now in the shop because once the clutch was replaced the blades will not run. My back aches everytime I get off the thing.

Overall I bought a cub cadet thinking "what a great product". I cannot count the times I have wanted to run into a hole and burn it. I will never own another cub product ever.

Strengths My Cub Cadet is 3 years old and has been wonderful. NO issues whatsoever. It fires and runs well, handles the deepest of lawns.

Weaknesses I have found no weaknesses. My engine is running smooth, no issue with 'blades falling off'. I would have to question the dealer who assembled it.

Overall A total piece of junk! Engine blew at less than 10 hrs. The replacement mower I had to argue for, broke the engine-to-mower deck shaft in about 4 hrs. I've gone through 2 belts. Now the rear, multi speed pulley has blown bearings! I mowed this 2.5 acre lawn for 25 years with an el-cheapo Dynamark and had no problems. I'd still be using it but the deck is worn out and parts are hard to get. The Cub's single cylinder engine is deafening and the ride is a back breaker!

Strengths The price was right. It seemed like a great value, until all the problems we've encountered in less than 12 hours of ownership.

Weaknesses This lawn tractor has less than 12 hours on it in 15 months. During that time, the blades have fallen off the tractor on 2 separate occasions, where we had to take the tractor back to the retailer for repair. Also, the battery seems weak. On many occasions, the tractor will not start and it needs a jump. Let me remind you there are only 12 hours on this cub. After driving this new one, my husband prefers the old Cub's driving capabilities where the gas was in the form of a lever that adjusted the speed. The new Cub has a gas pedal that is very difficult to adjust the speed and the brake pedal is just above the gas, which doesn't make sense.

Overall We wished we would have kept our old Cub Cadet.
