Strengths Strong motor 26 H. P. on the SLTX 1045.Cut grass nice and fast. 12" turning radius is true with 54" deck. This Tractor is nice with 9 GA. frame.

Weaknesses When I hit the PTO the tractor shook and kept on shaking. I cut the grass ( little over two acres ) and it didn't stop. I took it back to Home Depot and they sent it out. A day later I received a call from repair place and they informed me it would cost me $198.00 dollars to repair. I said it's under warranty. They said not this. I told them it came out of the box like that. They didn't care. Home Depot refunded my money. Bought John Deere.

Overall Nice tractor, wish it didn't have problem. However the factories problem wasn't going to be mine. Cub Cadet SLTX 1045 nice. Factory needs to get its act together. They are ruining a good Brand Name product.

Weaknesses The bagger that hooks up to it is terrible.

Overall You guys must be on heroin! Are we talking about the same tractor? Cub Cadet LTX 1045? This tractor is phenomenal. The only problem I have had is a faulty safety switch in the PTO. Called customer service, BAM next day there was a guy in my driveway to pick it up. then WHAM couple days later he was back dropping it off. No deck problems, nothing! I mow about two acres and could not be more impressed. However, the twin bagger that attaches to it is pretty terrible/useless. There isn't a tight enough seal, so the grass just flies out every which way.

Strengths none

Weaknesses The soleniod went out 2 months after purchase, replaced and went out again this spring and had to replace the carburetor and the soleniod a month after this it went out again.

Overall Have only 150 hours on it and had to change all three spindles on the cutting deck, dirve belt broke twice, stator went out once, starter went out once, steering stripped out, and now the rear end is crapping out. I can only cut grass for a few minutes and it stops! What I have spent on repairs amounts to what I paid for it NEW. Never again!!!

Strengths None that I can see!

Weaknesses Having the belt problem like everyone else. Have replaced the spindle shaft and the steering bushing. Now the PTO will not engage. Have had nothing but problems with this mower since day one!! Very dissatisfied with it.

Overall I agree that a class action suit should be filed against Cub Cadet. It is not Home Depot's fault that this mower was a piece of crap!! Home Depot should go in on the suit because of all of the crap that they have had to deal with because of it....

Weaknesses This is a piece of junk owned for 3 years with nothing but problems after the fist year. Only have 50 hours because it never work. Constant carburator problems

Strengths The mower runs OK

Weaknesses The deck is where I am having all the trouble. After 1.5 hours the belt came off the pulley. The spring on the pulley has broken twice. Seat bolt fell off

Overall I am very disappointed in this tractor. Every time I use it I wonder what is going to fall off next. I am waiting for the repairman to pick it up again tomorrow to fix the spring which comes off every time I use it.

Strengths Came with trailor and that is IT.

Weaknesses Where do I begin? This mower only has 129 hours on it and I have had constant problems. I had to have the valves overhauled last year. This year the electric clutch died to the tune of 354$. Last year's little doozy was 450$ So for a 1600$ mower, I have sunk over 1,000 into it aside from scheduled maintanence. I huge peice of crap. It backfires and struggles to go uphill.

Overall Very poor mower. No wonder GM and Chyrysler are going under while Honda and Toyota are doing well. American quality sucks. I hate to say it but its true
