Strengths The LT 1050 is a great deal for the money. The John Deere is about $500 more for the same features. The deck is heavy duty and mows great. I have used Grasshopper and Bad Boy zero turning and the Cub mows just as good if don't have alot of turns to make. This mower is also very powerful with the Kohler engine. I would buy this mower again.

Weaknesses I haven't found one yet and I have 60+ hours on it.

Overall Great mower for the price and cuts very well.

Strengths 50" deck cuts great

Weaknesses Drive Belt has some kind of problem it keeps jumping off the pulleys under load and burning up. Believe the tension spring is too weak> Sure as heck wish I could get some factory support but I canyt even get a number to call from Lowes. Sorry I bought it!!! Strengths It is a great tractor...it runs well and mows great.

Weaknesses The hour meter works when it wants to; the reverse override works when it wants to; the plugs both fouled after only 31.4 hours; took it back to the dealer and they replaced the plugs but couldn't figure out why the reverse overdrive didn't work and the hour meter.

Overall Great tractor and would buy it again

Strengths SO much for the money...Love the 50" deck, and the ease of operation and hydrostatic transmission. Better warranty than the competitors (3 years). Very Happy so far, 1 season and no issues thus far.

Weaknesses Only weakness was the hitch point which bent. Could be better reinforced. I made a custom hitch and attached it over the existing area. Now it's heavy duty!

Overall Overall a great machine and get the job done fast and gives a great cut too!

Strengths Deck, Turning, pulling

Weaknesses Cutting, power decreases over time. Has problems with leaving strips. Once that starts it is very hard to correct. Cub Cadet is really no help when it comes to problems. Blades are not cheap.

Overall Would not purchase again.

Strengths Manages steep hills like a goat, reliable, durable deck, maneuverable, 26hp Kohler Command engine powerful and quiet.(no longer available, switched to lower grade Courage engines) Good controls, ok seat, good handholds for working on slopes.

Weaknesses Traction could be improved with larger tires or by adding weights. Hitch plate bent where trailer hits when turning too far in reverse, could benefit from reinforcement. Top speed too low. Removing transmission linkage limiter/brake throttle lockout helps! After mod, under heavy load tranny belt drive chatters. Broke a deck spindle but hit a small stump, failed due to abuse. Replacement was straight forward.

Overall Very good mower with good deck, good controls, excellent usability. Hauls my log splitter, trailer or chipper with ease.

Strengths Mows well when it runs. Quieter than previous Cub mower

Weaknesses I have less than 10 hours on it and it has been back to the dealer 5 times. There is a spring that comes off somewhere in the drive train and then neither forward or reverse works. I have yet to mow my yard one time without it breaking down.

Overall Buy something else!

Strengths Have accumulated 50 hnours of mowing without a glitch. Mower has plenty of power and does a fine job of mowing. Deck flush system works well. Kohler engine performs great.

Weaknesses none....so far! Had te replace one headlight bulb. I can live with that!

Overall I have read other reviews and I am amazed of the problems some owners are experiencing. With the results I have enjoyed I think this mower is a great deal for the price.

Strengths Engine horsepower, and wide cutting deck.

Weaknesses I just turned 12 hours on my tractor yesterday. In those 12 hours I have had the tractor back to the shop 3 times. There is a tensioner spring that keeps coming off of the drive, so it won't go forward, or back. Cub Cadet does not want to hear from the end consumer, all of the numbers for them are automated, and will only refer you to a dealer. The dealer keeps saying the problem is with Cub Cadet. At this point I just want to get my money back.

Overall I should have bought a John Deere!!!!

Strengths Kohler engine runs well and I love the hydrostat drive!

Weaknesses With less than 10 hours of 10 hours of use, the PTO quit working. First it was intermittant then quit altogether. I sent an email to Cub Cadet Support on internet and received no help what soever, in fact they were curt and the links they gave me refused access! I called the local dealer in Olathe, Kansas and they did tell me that the factory did not provide for a good connection at the PTO! I checked the connector (which appeared to be connected) and found one of the terminals were not making connection inside the connector housing - pretty poor workmanship if you ask me! Also, the mower deck is a bear to clean. I have used water (don't recommend since it tends to stand under shiel
