Weaknesses The repair record; transmission drive belt failed at 72 hrs of use, steering gear ball joints already feeling sloppy at 105 hrs, ring gear actually CRACKED and fell off the flywheel while in storage this past winter! Had I not been able to weld it back onto the flywheel, it would have meant a $300 repair. Electric PTO often disengages on it's own for no apparent reason.
Overall Not what I expected from a Cub Cadet. I have owned MTD products before with better reliability. It seems like MTD stuff used to offer excellent value for the price but SOMETHING has happened over the years. I'd wanted a Cub Cadet for years but after 3 seasons with my LT-1045, the only positive thing I have to say is, I still like the nifty white and yellow color scheme.
