Strengths None. I can't find anything good to say about it after 3 years.

Weaknesses I think it is a piece of crap. The Briggs 17hp engine is very difficult to start. If it's below 60F - forget it. Parts are difficult to find and are very expensive. The mower belt is $42!!!!

Overall No wonder Lowes quit selling this brand. I won't ever but a Cub Cadet product again.

Strengths Does cut nicely when it is working

Weaknesses If you look at the front wheels the wrong way they will lose all their air. Be prepared to use this mower on a perfectly smooth yard if you want to have any success with it. I have had to take the front wheels off nearly everytime I mow and have them reaired becuase they go flat at the slightest bump.

Overall Very poor. I wish I had chosen something else. For as much as it costs it should be much better. It is not a year old and I spend more time working on it than mowing with it.

Strengths ZThis The Cub Cadet 42" Zero Turn (RZT42) is a nice looking machine. Trust me when I say I get "looks" all the time while mowing. Some looks aren't good as many times, the belt is hanging on the ground and the deck is falling off. Nice huh? After 17 hours of use, this piece of junk I paid $2699 plus tax for is junk. The welds are weak, folks. Expect at the first mowing bank you'll see your wheel bracket bend like playdo up into the air, and the blade belts will break. But the overall tractor turns around trees, or rows end swiftly. It does take some time learning how to not leave a row of grass behind due to the sharp turn.

Weaknesses The deck and the sturdiness of its parts is key. The pulley system is not tolerable to PTO starting of the blades unless in high throttle. A mistake. And, when backing up, you will be advised to wait 30 to 60 seconds before engaging the reverse. Isn't that nuts?

Overall POOR POOR POOR. It's in its Beta stage. DO NOT WASTE your money. Go to Husgavarna and buy their tractor (you can get two for the price of the Cub Cadet Riding Zero Turn commercial (that's a laugh...commercial?) grade mower.
