Strengths Super smooth ride. I bought for my wife who loves to mow lawn. Her main complaint it cuts too much, too quick, so she mowed three other yards. Plenty of power, BEAUTIFUL smooth cut, extremely heavy duty cutting blades. My wife put 3.6 hours mowing total of 9.9 acres or residential lawns. 28 Hp Briggs and Stranton, great engine.

Weaknesses Initial issue with the charging system not charging the battery, warrenty covered, company picked up the mower took to shop for fix. This is not an uncommon issue on new motors, and is usually simple fix.

Overall My wife and I looked for several months for our new mower, Gravely, BobCat and other commercial mowers. We are SO glad we selected this mower.

Strengths I bought the IZ1500 in March of 2010 for home use. I mow 1 acre in about 45 minutes and it is the smoothest riding mower I have ever used. Heavy duty deck and built like a tank.

Weaknesses The engine, Kaw. is a piece of crap... in less than 23 hours it went south... and Kaw. would not honor the warranty and neither would Ferris... after long conversions with Farris and Top Flight, I got the engine but I had to pay for the labor.. I could have bought a throw down mower at Walmart for a lot less.

Overall Piece of junk.... never, never again

Strengths GREAT MOWER! Built super tough. Nothings intergrated Tons of power. Suspension does a great job keeping the deck consistantly level, which cuts great. No windrows. Mow at 10 mph constantly and save A LOT of time over other zero turns on bumpy ground

Weaknesses Floor pan doesn't flip up to access the belt pulleys for greasing. Stickers pressure wash off easy. Warranty is not matching many other brands. Only 2 years on the ferris. Many companies (dixie chopper, exmark, husler, etc) offer 3 year commercial front to back warrantys (2 year Labor & 3rd year parts only)

Overall Couldn't be happier. The only mower the offers patented suspension. Got the 28hp Vangard made by Toyota/Dihatsu 61" deck 1500ZX and it mow's with authority! Drain hose for oil changes. Simple deck lift. Be cool if it had a tach/hour meter tho

Overall Loved at first, but after 21 hours of usage the clutch BURNED OUT. Yep, Paid $7,000. and used for 4 weeks and now has been in shop for 2 weeks waiting for a part. What no clutch to send???Nope. of course they did not make extras, so, you my dear consumer, will be screwed right in the peak of mowing season with a $7,000. piece of crap waiting for for a part just like me.

Strengths Heavy duty deck and blade spindles. Easy deck adjustments. I never have any trouble obtaining parts when needed.

Weaknesses oil filter is extremely difficult to get to as well as the drain plug. I have to replace the ignition switch annually, but it is very easy to access. I did buy the mulching attachement and was not happy. If the grass is slightly wet then it just gums up the deek.

Overall Overall I am very pleased with the performance of this machine. I have put it to the test under every condition and it has always performed well. I have well over 1,000 hrs on this machine with very little maintanence.

Strengths Mower is cheap compaired to a real comerical mower. I think most people that have commented on this mower have no real experence with comercial mowers. I crew spends thousands of hours on mowers for a business, this is a sales person wet dream. A couple shocks on a peice of junk and here the fools come. This think is a serious joke

Weaknesses Everything. My crew couldn't use a single day without sending it back to the shop. This is a homeowner brand, like john deere. It's junk. It's not a comercial mower, it's a high priced home owner mower.

Overall Don't waste you money. Get a Hustler, Cub Comercial, Toro or kabota. I have used them all. I would say Hustler is the best, strongest, and fastest. Don't waste your money on a sales man selling you a couple shocks. Most put those shocks in the seat, not the frame.

Strengths My ferris is so strong that it can cut parts of my land that i normally had to bushhog with the tractor.It shoots the grass out about 6 yards away.The overall power of this mower makes me glad I own it.

Weaknesses Most of the chassis grease points are so hard to get to.You have to be Lou Ferrigno to get the oil filter off for the first time.

Overall My experience with this mower so far has me in a state of shock at the power,agility,and speed.Sometimes while cutting the 5+ acres out there i find myself smiling because now i am in control of the grass.This machine makes me enjoy the task of mowing again.

Strengths Smooth ride and fast. I mow 10 acres in about 4 hours. The ROPS makes changing the blades easy. Just connect a strap to the top of the rops and to an anchor point and drive forward until the blades are exposed

Weaknesses It slides side ways down ditch banks although these would be impossible to mow with a conventinal lawn tractor. I can't keep a beer in the cup holder without it foaming over

Overall Awesome machine! I would really like to try the IS2000 with the fully independant front suspension. Worth every penny.

Strengths Cant say enouph abouth the suspension. I LOVE IT. it is somewhat strange at first to feel the front end rise with acceleration and dip when stopping. My Cub Cadet would make my back hurt so bad, I could not stand up after only one hour. And I would hurt for days after mowing. I have mowed as much as three hours without stopping and have no pain at all.

Weaknesses I am a tall person and the bars do need to be a little taller, but I will deal with it.

Overall Wish I had done this years ago. Worth every penny.

Strengths Great running machine. Plenty of power. Kaw engine smooth and quite. Cuts fantastic. Height adjusment easy and very percise. Sits fairly confortable. Suspension is incrediable. Fast ground speed, no way able to run full speed unless driveway smooth ground. controls easy to understand and operate.

Weaknesses The only complaint I could find is this mower, as heavy as it, doesn't run well on soft wet ground. wallows to the downhill side and will get stuck easily in a shallow ditch or bank. if the moweer deck digs in, tires will just sit and spin. If this happen it will take three men and a small boy to pull it free. The solution to this is to not mow right after it has rained and just let the ground dry out before you mow.

Overall Best mower I have ever used. As I said before just avoid wet muddy conditions and you will not have any problems.
