Strengths My ferris is so strong that it can cut parts of my land that i normally had to bushhog with the tractor.It shoots the grass out about 6 yards away.The overall power of this mower makes me glad I own it.

Weaknesses Most of the chassis grease points are so hard to get to.You have to be Lou Ferrigno to get the oil filter off for the first time.

Overall My experience with this mower so far has me in a state of shock at the power,agility,and speed.Sometimes while cutting the 5+ acres out there i find myself smiling because now i am in control of the grass.This machine makes me enjoy the task of mowing again.

Strengths Smooth ride and fast. I mow 10 acres in about 4 hours. The ROPS makes changing the blades easy. Just connect a strap to the top of the rops and to an anchor point and drive forward until the blades are exposed

Weaknesses It slides side ways down ditch banks although these would be impossible to mow with a conventinal lawn tractor. I can't keep a beer in the cup holder without it foaming over

Overall Awesome machine! I would really like to try the IS2000 with the fully independant front suspension. Worth every penny.

Strengths Cant say enouph abouth the suspension. I LOVE IT. it is somewhat strange at first to feel the front end rise with acceleration and dip when stopping. My Cub Cadet would make my back hurt so bad, I could not stand up after only one hour. And I would hurt for days after mowing. I have mowed as much as three hours without stopping and have no pain at all.

Weaknesses I am a tall person and the bars do need to be a little taller, but I will deal with it.

Overall Wish I had done this years ago. Worth every penny.

Strengths Great running machine. Plenty of power. Kaw engine smooth and quite. Cuts fantastic. Height adjusment easy and very percise. Sits fairly confortable. Suspension is incrediable. Fast ground speed, no way able to run full speed unless driveway smooth ground. controls easy to understand and operate.

Weaknesses The only complaint I could find is this mower, as heavy as it, doesn't run well on soft wet ground. wallows to the downhill side and will get stuck easily in a shallow ditch or bank. if the moweer deck digs in, tires will just sit and spin. If this happen it will take three men and a small boy to pull it free. The solution to this is to not mow right after it has rained and just let the ground dry out before you mow.

Overall Best mower I have ever used. As I said before just avoid wet muddy conditions and you will not have any problems.

Strengths Heavy duty, Powerful, Fairly comfortable ride, Maintenance appears fairly easy, Greasable spindles, Deck height adjustment is so easy, Even quality cut.

Weaknesses Almost kills the engine when you engage blades. Have to remove the upper bolt on the right rear shock to easily change the oil filter. Didn't have an "Engine Hour Meter" only when the blades are engaged does the initial meter work.

Overall New to the business but so far I'm impressed with the machine. Think I paid a little more than most but that's my own fault.

Strengths Very heavy duty construction. I am mowing in a very rocky, and rough section of the Texas Hill Country and it takes a licking very well. The suspension is excellent and has allowed me to mow areas that my Kubota tractor used to be used. I love the productivity of the machine.

Weaknesses So far, I have not found any problems.

Overall I bought Ferris because of the suspension and construction quality. I have not been disappointed. A great piece of machinery.

Strengths This model doesn't have true independent suspension at the front, but a pivoting axle/shocks. It still rides more smoothly than any other ZTR I demoed. 25 Kaw provides plenty of power. 52' deck yields 4.5" of trim capacity, for less line work afterward. Sturdy, heavy duty commercial quality throughout. Simple, precise deck height adjustment. More than enough speed. Quality cut.

Weaknesses More motor = thirstier. ROPS provides a margin of safety on slopes, but is definitely a PIA around lower hanging tree branches.

Overall An extemely well engineered product with the best balance of power, speed, comfort, and productivity I could find, for under 7K.

Strengths cuts grass fast and smooth, with it'sspeed and durabilty. The shocks make a big difference. I don't think I could ever ride on a machine without shocks again!!!!!!!Easy to adjust grass hight. The kawasaki engine is awsome.

Weaknesses Tell you the truth nothing. The only thing I ever had to do to it is sharpen blades,keep air filter clean,and put gas in it and cut grass.

Overall The best machine ever made!!!!(The Truth)

Strengths Amazing machine when it's running! Cut my mowing time in half and makes my yard look great as any of the clippings that exit the deck just seem to vanish.

Weaknesses My unit has only 45.6 hours on it and I've had to take it back for repair 3 different times. First it was the parking break, then it blew thr belts off the deck,and this last time it was the main bearing in the electric clutch for the deck.Not a very good track record if you ask me. I called the Ferris Co. and asked if they would consider extending my warranty in view of the repairs that were needed on this unit. I was told that was out of the question. I'm not happy!! I guess I'm stuck with it.

Overall

Strengths Speed is amazing at 10mph and cuts well. Smooth ride with a secure quality feel. Large tires. The Deck height adjustment is a dream to use, very simple and fast.

Weaknesses Pricey...but I bought used and got more mower than I could have new. Worth every penny new...so of course I am happy!

Overall I had a Pro Walk behind with a Sulky and this cut ALOT of time off my yard work, a pleasure to use, confident behind the controls.
