Strengths Pushes like an OX. Lifting capacity is outstanding. Handy like pockets on a shirt, rides a lot better than a skid steer but gets in most places. It is not a little machine though not as big as a full size TLB it is a chunk. The Perkins is fuel efficient and runs like a Perkins, just reliable. Found a place in Fla to get parts reasonable, at least more so than JCB. JCB apparently doesn't believe in high strength steel because everything on this machine is THICK.
Weaknesses I replaced most of the cylinder packings but still have some bleed-off. Can't yet get the pin out of one of the stabilizer legs to repack the cylinder but will eventually.
I haven't yet found a weakness. I need to bush the backhoe bucket.
Wish I could find a skid steer adapter and a 4-in-1 bucket.
It has a maze of pipes underneath but that is what you get with a TLB. It also has some funny accumulators for the four wheel steer that look like they could be a problem if they go wrong.
Had a lose starter wire and it was a bear to get to. They shoved the engine way back in the frame.
Overall Great machine. Glad I was able to get it and did so in the dark days of 2009 so I think I got a good deal on an ex city machine with only about 1700 hrs.
If I can ever get the skid steer plate built I'll be able to use my tree shear, grapple, post driver, bale spike and forks.
