Strengths I've never owned a better tractor yet, and I've had many. The loader works well for it's size. I have the 62" belly mower and love it. I also have a 4' bushhog, 48" box blade & 60" rock rake. If you know your machine it has now limits.

Weaknesses Sits low to the ground. Hydro filter is open to all. Buying part's from J.Deere is crazy. They won't sell just the part you need to repair, they want to sell whole item. Like U-Joints they sell the whole drive shaft for around $585.00. Napa has the joints for $60.00. I don't mind paying for a part, but I don't want to buy stock...Let me say it's not the dealers fault, they have been great and treated me well.

Overall Great Tractor as I've said. My problem is getting part's without being screwed by J Deere

Strengths Good engine economical

Weaknesses Warranty was terrible,Broke PTO out of the rear end, They would not warrant.Snow blower broke three times they finally did repair without any further warranty

Overall Probably buy a New Holland next time

Strengths Well thought out attachments that switch easily, good power and fuel economy, 4WD and diff lock has tons of traction in the snow and ice. The thing is an unbelievable snow removal tool. Loader lifts way more than rated capacity (sometimes scary). Zero problems, works every time after months of sitting.

Weaknesses Hydraulic cycle time is slow, but they make bigger tractors. Tires are too small for a "tractor" (same as thier high end lawn mowers). Too light for a fully loaded FEL, but 350 lbs of urethane in the tires helps along with the ballast box. JD attachments are expensive. Expect to pay a premium for a premium product.

Overall Overall this is the best big ticket item I have ever purchased. Sure I would like a bigger tractor, but don't really need the one I have. I am constantly amazed how well it performs in all tasks I ask it to do. Zero problems in 6 years.

Strengths good running tractor

Weaknesses The driveshaft on my JD2210 failed at about 600 hours. there is no way to grease the u-joints on the shaft. it took the dealer 9.5 hours to repair. the PART was $556.00 and another $800 labor. tractor must be disassembled to replace.

Overall

Strengths Stable, manuveurable mowing tractor. 4wd and diff lock are easy to engage/disengage. Smooth driveline with minimal vibration at PTO speed.

Weaknesses No tilt wheel. Poor seat suspension. Needs position control 3pt.

Overall Generally what you would expect but missing some comfort items that surprised me. I previously had a JD455 which was more comfortable to operate.

Strengths good lawn mower good on fuel

Weaknesses rear pto , failed and dealer said cost to be 7500.00, to repair ,needless to say it will not be fixed and I will not be buying a toy tractor from Deere

Overall It is a toy tractor and I could have purchased a good lawn mower for less money

Strengths Good worker for the price! Easy operation, reliable, versatile-- able to do a lot of things very well for its size. Easy attach/remove system for deck mower and FEL makes switching jobs quite simple. The FEL is a breeze, the deck mower takes a little more time!

Weaknesses Biggest irritant is the lack of a graduated 3PH. Guessing blade,box or rake position at each lowering doesn't produce a consistent results. Transmission/hydraulic filter is in a vulnerable place -- facing forward and unprotected at the lowest point on the underside. Remember it's down there!

Overall A little tractor that thinks it's a big tractor. It will always satisfy you if you ask reasonable strength and speed from it. Extremely reliable and easily maintainable. If it fits you needs, you'll never regret buying it -- new or used.

Strengths L Loader very strong. Very nice tractor overall for home use.

Weaknesses I Have a 2003 2210. The rear PTO went out.JD said it would cost $3000 to replace with new transmission. Funny they changed trans right after my serial number to one size bigger. If you want to use rear PTO on 03 then prepare for trouble!!

Overall Except for JD screwing me on transmission a very nice tractor. Again if no plans for rear PTo then buy one.

Strengths Great Tractor. 4 wheel drive is a must.

Weaknesses I can not think of one.

Overall I use my 2210 for numerous tasks. I mow and maintain 5 acres of land. Clean my drive with snow, haul wood, mow the lawn, move heavy stuff all around...

Strengths Awsome little tractor,200X loader,62"deck,sprayer,huge lawn roller,rear blade. I use it to maintain 3 acres and snow removal. JD says the loader is non-removable I bought a chain fall and it's off in minutes.The lug tires are perfect.Plenty of HP power.

Weaknesses Hyd. are slow not weak heres why.Engineers match cycle time and lift against the front axle load.A larger pump would increase both but we would break front axles, no one is doing that.So...the larger the front axle the more hyd.power the loader will have.

Overall Tips: Cold start use glow plugs, engage pto so tractor will not start pull throttle back,turn key all the way to start and hold 45 seconds.Turn pto off and start. Bingo! Fuel: The best diesel on the planet is BP-Amoco Permier. 48 cetane means better start,more power,cleaner burn, less fumes,smoke and gelling problems.#2 diesel gives you all the problems I just read about.We heat our homes with that stuff. Biofuel(soy etc.) will ruin your tractor in cold weather.Hope I have been helpful,enjoy.
