Strengths L
Loader very strong.
Very nice tractor overall for home use.
Weaknesses I Have a 2003 2210.
The rear PTO went out.JD said it would cost $3000 to replace with new transmission.
Funny they changed trans right after my serial number to one size bigger.
If you want to use rear PTO on 03 then prepare for trouble!!
Overall Except for JD screwing me on transmission a very nice tractor.
Again if no plans for rear PTo then buy one.

Strengths Awsome little tractor,200X loader,62"deck,sprayer,huge lawn roller, rear blade. I use it to maintain 3 acres and snow removal. JD says the loader is non-removable I bought a chain fall and it's off in minutes. The lug tires are perfect.Plenty of HP power.
Weaknesses Hyd. are slow not weak heres why.Engineers match cycle time and lift against the front axle load.A larger pump would increase both but we would break front axles, no one is doing that.So...the larger the front axle the more hyd.power the loader will have.
Overall Tips: Cold start use glow plugs, engage pto so tractor will not start pull throttle back, turn key all the way to start and hold 45 seconds.Turn pto off and start. Bingo! Fuel: The best diesel on the planet is BP-Amoco Permier. 48 cetane means better start, more power, cleaner burn, less fumes, smoke and gelling problems.#2 diesel gives you all the problems I just read about. We heat our homes with that stuff. Biofuel(soy etc.) will ruin your tractor in cold weather.Hope I have been helpful, enjoy.

Implements : 210CX Loader, 47B Snow Blower
Purchased From : Tailored Lawn and Turf- Jenison, MI
Strengths Good Fuel Economy, tight turning radius, well designed implement attachment, logical control layout, easy service, reliability, cost of operation.
Weaknesses No tilt wheel, operator station somewhat cramped for those over 6' tall, expensive parts at dealership, front PTO setup less than ideal (it works, but at the cost of some ground clearance. Easy enough to drop the front driveshaft, though).
Overall This is a fantastic compact utility tractor! 90% of your satisfaction with a tractor is picking the right one for your needs, and I chose right on this one. The 2210 is very maneuverable in the woods, and has just enough grunt to tug felled trees down. If you don't have grass to drive on (I don't), skip the cheesy turf tires. I am sure they are easy on the grass, but they aren't worth much for traction. Order all maintenance parts online ahead of time to save money (an air filter set is $60 at my dealer! OUCH!). Use quality diesel fuel for easy winter starting (also give it about 1/2 throttle on the first start of the day), I've fired it up in -10 F temps after sitting for 3 months and it took off on the first try. Impressive. I've had this machine for 7 years and put 35 hrs on it this winter doing snow removal.

Implements : FEL, Weed cutter, back scrapper

Strengths I bought the 2210 new. Tractor works great. The 4 ac. of land in California is perfect for this little unit to work on. Low profile also a plus. Helped my neighbor twice when his kobota flipped over (high center).
Weaknesses When engage the electric PTO switch. The mover shakes a lot. Should use clutch
Overall I have another tractor, a Yanmar. Both are greatlittle machine. However, the 2210 is much nicer machine.

Strengths goes anywhere i have asked it to go does anything i have tried i mean i dug a pond with the thing I am still amazed by what this little tractor will do havn't found much it won't do
Weaknesses a little tippy with the bucket loaded, but use your head and fill the ballast box they give you. wish it had glow plugs starts hard when its cold out poor location of fuel filter gels when its -10 or so keep your fuel treated Wish a backhoe was available
Overall I love my JD looked at them all traded in a JD 318 on it Would buy another one in a heartbeat

Strengths very nice tractor i use this tractor to maintain my business, and rental props.snow plowing, grasscutting, landscaping food plots, and taking care of 12 acers this tractor can do it all i beat the crap out of it daily. and cheaper than any other tractor out there.
Weaknesses when using mower when turning it likes to rip the grass, and when trying to use more the i imp. at atime it just dont work.will not liftmuch weight in front bucket and when moving bucket must very low to the ground. the three point hitch will not let ne use my 650 imos.

Purchased From : platte valley equip
Strengths plenty of power for the size of tractor, I have a lawn care service and I use it to till up yards, move snow, move dirt, spray yards, and it does any thing you could expect a tractor of its size would do, I own (2) 2210's and would not have any thing else have 650+ hours on one and 250+ hours on the other and have had no problems at all, i put on a curtis cab and love it, keeps me warm in the winter for moving snow and provides shade in the summer this tractor will do what it is designed to do
Weaknesses none, i have spent 15 hours at a time in this machines moving snow and still could have went for more
Overall best tractors I ever owned, would never consider anything else just hope the new 2305 will compare

Implements : 210 FEL, LX4 Shreader, Land Scap Rake and Rear blade, Armstrong Box Blade,
Purchased From : Georgetown Farm Supply
Strengths Great Tractor. Easy to operate, and I really like the hydrostatic drive. I have the I-Match quick hitch which makes changing implements very easy. Has plenty of power and is easy to maintain. I have 7.5 acers of which I use the shreader for about 5 acers. The Front end loader and landscape rake are great for keeping up 1000 feet of crushed granite drive way.
Weaknesses The only weekness I have found is in the power to weigh ratio when using the FEL. It can get a little tippy when moving crushd granite base. I usually just hang the box blade on the back and it's not a problem. The staff at Georgetown Farm Supply could be a bit more knowlegeable, but overall they are pretty good.
Overall I have a little over 200 hours on it and never had any problem. It's very reliable in all weather and it allways gets the job done. Could'nt do without it.

Price Paid : $12,500.00
Years of Use : 1-2 Years Use
Implements : 54" Mower Deck, Front end loader, 2-bottom plow, 2-row corn planter, 6' pull disc
Purchased From :
Strengths The diesel motor is as strong as a mule. I was very impressed with the power. Just purchased an 11 acre farm in March 07, and I couldn't be happier with the tractor. Plowed 4 acres of ground that hadn't been worked in 35 years. My neighbor's laughed when they saw the 14" 2-bottom plow hooked to this tractor, but were amazed how well it plowed the ground. I use the loader every day for hauling manure, firewood, or corn for the corn stove. The loader works great for moving dirt, stones, or mulch too. The mower works great, it takes about 1 1/2 hours to mow 2.5 acres. Hydraulics are very strong and the speed can be adjusted easily.
Weaknesses Rops destroy lower branches of trees, or the tractors lights. Make sure to use ballast box with added weights when using FEL to avoid tipping situations. Low center of gravity, makes it difficult to disc down ground.
Overall I would purchase another 2210 in a second. Although I might buy something bigger for larger implements in the future, but I'll still keep the 2210 for everyday uses.
