Implements : FEL, rear scraper blade, 62"mower, Imatch, ballast box
Purchased From :
Strengths Outstanding small powerful tractor, especially for those with less experience. easy to use FEL. starts solid, tiny turning radius, Imatch simple to use. in low gear, and using R-4s, traction is decent. rear blade angle easy to change, good dash display, mower cuts cleanly and is easy to adjust; down pressure on FEL is OK as long as you counterbalance and weight.
Weaknesses mower and rear implement linked;poor design and a safety hazard. no 12v outlet, getting FEL into the "float" position can be tricky; owner's manual not clearly written on major issues like warming up plug; no cruise and tilt standard; the standard seat is AWFUL; get an upgrade!! connecting and disconnecting the FEL is not as easy it JD says, especially if you are female as I am. takes a bit more muscle than you might think.
Overall Excellent work tractor; does all I want and more; has its design flaws but I would buy another in a heartbeat.

Implements : loader, mid mower, snowthrower, tiller, bushhog, sprayer
Purchased From : Koenig Equipment Urbana, Ohio
Strengths Machine is an excellent performer under all conditions. I have 8 acres and I use this tractor year around. Loader has great lifting and down pressure power. The easy operation, tight turning radious, mechanical 4WD, easy service points, low-noise diesel motor, ease of changing implements and 30 second one man loader on/off is exceptional feature. The two seperate forward/reverse pedels add to the ease of operation. The mowing deck has a great cut and discharge and is compatable with the JD blower attachment for the leaf catcher. The tractor has no problems with power or traction (R4 tires) when using the front mounted snowthrower, rear tiller and bushhog. Plenty of lights, as long as you add the optional rear work light ($30.00).
Weaknesses Rear pto is connected to the safety shut off switch, making it impossible to leave the seat to use the handwand on the sprayer. The non-folding ROPS need further enginering along with the lack of a smooth ride over bumpy terrain. The other weekness is the mid mount mower being connected to the same arm that lowers the rear implements. Five gallon fuel tank makes filling more frequent.
Overall Exceptional product, company and dealer support make it a great purchase for many years to come.

Implements : Loader, Belly mower, rear scraper blade
Purchased From : Arden Equipment, Martinsburg WV
Strengths Have owned ours since May of 2003, we like the ease of use. It is powerful and the loader is tremendously useful. Have dug out tree stumps, moved mulch, gravel and cleared the driveway of snow. We have the industrial lug type tires and they provide great traction, especially in the snow. They dont tear up the lawn as you might think. My wife actually uses the machine and cuts the grass more than I do. My Dad liked it so much that he bought one for his property, but he got the turf tires, which he feels was a mistake.
Weaknesses The mid mower mount lift mechanism is connected to the rear 3pt hitch. It is a pain and I wish the front & middle lifting systems were independent of one another.
Overall A good buy. Looked at the Kubotas before we decided on the Deere, and even though the Deere was more money I think we made the right choice.

Implements : 54" Mower Deck, 42" Tiller, 60" Landscape Rake, 40" Box Blade
Purchased From : Lovitt Equipment (Hattiesburg, Mississippi)
Strengths This tractor was purchased for my wife to take care of our property (7 acres). She loves it. Ease of operation and available power are the strengths. Overall cost should be considered as well. We paid $14,500 for the machine and the 4 implements.
Weaknesses The spreader bar (for the mower deck)is annoying but, only takes a few minutes to install.
Overall I highly recommend this machine for landscape/maintenance work. For the women this is a great machine. In our area John Deere support is second to none.

Years of Use : 1-2 Years Use
Implements : 49" Front Loader; 5' back blade; ballist box; King Kutter middle buster; iMatch; 54C Mower
Purchased From : Miller Lake John Deere
Strengths The machine has ample power. The mower is not only capable of mowing grass; light brush and heavy grass doesn't slow it down. As expected, Deere build the deck to accept advanced assignments. iMatch quickhitch is nice but be sure to buy attachments made to link up. Loader is wonderful for moving mulch, top soil, and wood around the lawn.
Weaknesses I have my tires filled, weighted, and the box filled with sand. Without the weight the loader wouldn't be much use in digging situations, but then again I didn't buy a skid loader. The height of the loader pivot point could be higher. Seems like the machine would handle more breakout force. Hydraulic hoses and transmission filter should be repositioned to avoid accidental damage in more extreme conditions.
Overall Very utilitarian tractor. The loader is capable of dumping into a 1/2 ton pickup. The machine has good stability, excess power, and easy to operate. 3 point hitch makes the possibilities unlimited. I have operated the competing products and since purchasing the Deere, I never looked back.

Weaknesses None so far for the tractor. One of the implements could use some work.

Implements : 210 FEL, 62C Mower, 72" Rake, 42" Tiller
Purchased From : Coker Tractor
Strengths Overall a very solid machine. The FEL will lift more than you expect. I maintain 10 acres with a 1 acre pond and this machine handles the hills very easily. The 62" mower will cut through tall grass and vines with ease. Implements go on and off with little effort once you get some practice in. I use the tiller to till a 1/2 acre garden and it puliverizes the soil to almost sand stage. The 2210 pulls the tiller without even being in 4 wheel drive.
Weaknesses Needs more low end torque with the hydrastatic transmission. Tractor is a little to light with the loader and it is a must to load the tires or have the ballast kit. Needs better springs on the seat when going over rough ground you will need to keep seat belt tight or get bounced. Hydraulic valve for loader needs to be larger. Mower blade speeds are so loud you have to wear ear plugs.
Overall Overall all this tractor performs better than any I have owned so far. I have used a mid size Kubota on this land and the 2210 outperforms it hands down. I highly recommend this tractor for those with a lot of property to take care of.

Implements : 210 Loader, 62C Mower Deck, 47 Snowblower
Purchased From : Zahm & Matson
Strengths Great all-around for my 6 acres. I use it to maintain the lawn, do landscaping (especially moving rocks and mulch), spread horse manure, move sawdust, care for a 1000 ft gravel driveway year-round, etc. Its a good size for my barn and not so heavy that it tears up the yard when I mow. Loader is easy to get on and off for one person.
Weaknesses Hydraulics need more power.
Overall Financing program when I purchased was fantastic - 3 years for 0%.

Implements : 62" MMM, 210 FEL, BB, 48" York rake
Purchased From : Farmington Valley Equipment
Strengths Best mowing tractor I've owned. The blade-tip speeds it realizes are incredible; in fact the deck at full PTO speed is louder than the diesel motor. The low-profile is extremely well suited for slopes, almost as well as lawn and garden tractors. Quick attachments are incredibly easy to take off and attach. Ergonomics are first rate! Lots of hp, both gross and PTO!
Weaknesses Hydraulic implement pump could be larger (so could all the Deere products up to the 4210 class), both the front and rear lifts could be higher, there should be better rear lighting, counter-balance weight is crucial; load the rear tires, and if you are doing any heavy loader work, plan on the ballast box filled with concrete! The MFWD lever isn't in the most convenient place (Deere, go back to the placement of the 55 series!). The mid-mower lift etc, should run off its own mechanisim, instead of the shared spreader bar. The tractor should have position control off of the 3PH.
Overall I'd rate this tractor 8 out of 10 on a scale of 10; when you factor in the cost competitiveness of it, you have to push it above 9! Go Deere engineers; you have, and continue to get it right!
