Purchased From : VIRGINIA
Strengths I JUST BOUGHT THIS TRACTOR AND HAVENT USED IT YET . I HAVE DONE MY HOMEWORK AND FOR THIS 23-24 HORSEPOWER I THINK I MADE THE RIGHT DECISION. YANMAR MOTORS HAVE A GREAT REPUTATION AND THAT IS THE BIGGEST REASON FOR THE PURCHASE. IM A LITTLE CONCERNED ABOUT THE CLOGGING OF THE RADIATOR AND WILL DEFINATLEY KEEP EVERYONE INFORMED.
Weaknesses MY BIGGEST BEEF IS WHY THE #$@!%$# DIDNT THEY PUT A FOLDING ROPS ON THIS MACHINE COME ON SO NOW I CANT BACK IT IN TO GARAGE WITH A UTILITY TRAILOR ITS ABOUT A FOOT TOO TALL. I NOTCED THIS B4 I PUT IT ON MY TRAILOR. I ALSO NOTICED 95% of all the other john deeres had a folding rop?? WHAT EVER ILL KEEP EVERYONE INFORMED BOUGHT IT WITH A FRONTIER 48 INCH AERATOR
Overall I THINK I MADE THE RIGHT DECISION

Price Paid : $150,000.00
Years of Use : 1-year
Implements : FEL & MMM
Purchased From : Holland & Sons
Strengths It has power to spare. Also a lot of foot room compared to my previous 445. Turning radius is super and mowing is a pleasure
Weaknesses With seat in the rear most two positions it strikes the seatbelt brackets causing seat damage and a backbone shattering ride. Hope Deere comes up with a fix soon. A folding ROPS would be a blessing along with a toolbox and 12v power at the rear of tractor. Amber flasher/turnsignals come and go yet hear the flashers operating. Dealer has no ideas YET on the problems. I cut the PTO selector lever off so it's below the seat as it will hook your pants etc the way it was. I also had to fabricate sheetmetal shrouding at the grille to keep radiator from plugging up.
Overall Decent tough unit but just wish the factory was more willing to help with the concerns brought to their attention.

Strengths Fantastic machine for property owners.
Weaknesses The seat should be able to lock in place so it doesn't move while running the machine.
Overall I strongly recommend this machine and I'd buy another just like it in a heart beat.

Implements : FEL, 54 Deck, BB, Ballast Box
Purchased From : Martin Bros
Strengths Excellent power to weight ratio. Easy on fuel, starts easily in extreme cold weather, easy to service. Stability on hills is very good. Easy to change attachments.
Weaknesses No folding ROPS, seat has been replaced already due to it bottoming out on the seat belt bolts. Grease zerk under floor pan hump not accessible. Radiator will clog if you don't keep an eye on it. Tilt steering wheel would be nice as well as a graduated 3PH control. Needs better placement of hyd. tranny filter. Needs oil cooler instead of fan on tranny. Needs 1 piece engine cowling. CX FEL stand can be bent easily if your not careful.
Overall I bought this new March of 2007 and have put 156 hours on it. I'm pleased with it and would buy it again. I wanted a 2320 but with the hills I have I needed better stability and got that with the 2305.

Price Paid : $17,200.00
Years of Use : 1-2 Years Use
Implements : 200 CX FEL, 62" MMM, 47" snow blower
Purchased From : Northern Lawn & Snow; Fulton, NY
Strengths Great power, implements are easy to attach and detach, fuel economy is great. It is an overall good machine. I mow 4 acres, and this machine cut my mowing time in half. Always starts without issue, even in cold weather. Maintenance is easy. It is a very tough little machine and worth every penny. The snowblower does a great job, and the shear pins break when they are supposed to. Living in the snow belt, the snowblower is one of the most important implements to me, and it has worked wonderfully.
Weaknesses Grass clogs the radiator and causes it to overheat, Folding ROPS would be helpful. When snowblowing, sometimes the HSD pedals stick (freeze up).
Overall My first compact utility- very happy with it. I made the right choice on the first try. Expensive, but it delivers.

Implements : 200cx fel, woods 6000 bh, 48'' landpride tiller, landscape rake, 48'' rear blade.
Purchased From : Barnett implement
Strengths I have found this tractor to be a great little machine, I also have a 3120 JD and I use them both full time in my landscaping and excavating buisness. The 2305 is very handy in the tight residential housing that is so popular today. I would recomend this machine to anyone.
Weaknesses my only problems that are note worthy are, the power beyond keeps getting knocked loose by the 3 point and the radiator is easy to plug up when mowing.
Overall this is a great little work horse.

Price Paid : $13,500.00
Years of Use : Test Drive
Implements : fel 62 mmm and 5' drag blade
Purchased From : Valley ag and turf
Strengths Bought the tractor a year ago. Waited to submit a review until I found out how the tractor preformed. So far not promblems whatsoever. Thought the tractor would be to big for my yard because all I have is an acre. But between me and my neighbors it fit in just right. It has done everything we have asked it to do.
Weaknesses The only ones are the same ones that I read in the reviews before I bought the tractor. They were the headlights and tool box. I had them install the additional lights on the rops and I installed a small tool box that I purchased at Sears. The one other that I can think of would be the seat. It should have one or two holes in the bottom so the water can drain away from your bottom while out moving snow.
Overall It is a great little tractor. Has a lot of power for its size and the attachments are easy and quick to take off and put on. I did the 50 hour service on it and it was easy enough to do. The book that comes with the tractor is very easy to understand. And best of all the salesman went out of his way to help me understand the tractor.

Implements : tiler, 200 FEL, 54" deck, 60" rear blade
Purchased From : Harvest Equip. Swanton VT
Strengths Smooth movements with drive and FEL. good power for residential use. Quick clean mover. Good traction even in the VT snow and cold. I have 50+ hrs. and still find myself trying to come up with excuses to use it. We have received 4+ feet of snow this year and I can't waite for more
Weaknesses tippy, VERY TIPPY. Wants to roll when heavy wieght in loader or on uneven ground, even with the 500 pound tiler on the back. Just have to be careful.
needs better lights. possibly on roll bar. Needs tool box.
Overall Love the tractor. It is perfect for the residential want-to-be farmer that hates manual labor or just wants a big toy that is JD tough.
