Strengths We have large JD tractor on our farm for "big jobs". Replaced a JD 445 Garden Tractor. Thrilled with 2305. Plows snow like no tomorrow - no longer need (concrete marking) chains in winter with 4wd. Mowing is a breeze. Tiller works great.

Weaknesses ROPS is pain - replaced one set of lights already. Seat doesn't allow much tilt - purcased a 445 adjustable bracket from JD dealer and fixed problem. Lack of Independent midmount lift was a disappointment. Didn't think I'd need full CAT 1 lift - have found a use for it - would be nice to have.

Overall Great tractor. Very happy.

Weaknesses FEL support cracked not coverd by warr. only one year dealer made it good. after about a year and one half lost power in talks with deere now to make it good. at tihs point would not recomend a deere

Overall would think long and hard about a 2210 see ford or kubota I had a 317 and a 425 over the years gave me less trouble not a happy camper with the 2210

Strengths Outstanding power in the 24hp diesel engine. The capability of this tractor (for it size) is amazing. I have done things with it that I did not think was possible. Between the use at the deer lease, at home, and out getting firewood it has been the best purchase made in a very long time- worth every penny. Hydrostatic steering and lift on MMM leaves me fighting the wife as to who mows and who trims! It has cut my mowing time in half and the quality of the cut is better than my riding lawn mower.

Weaknesses The front end light are weak at best, BUT under the left rear fender there is pre-wired connections for addition of lights on ROP bar. Fixed this problem myself in a couple of hours. This connection is wired into the headlight switch. The ROP lights come on when you select headlamps on the switch, but if you place the switch in the position for headlamps & flashers the ROP lights turn off. Had an initial problem with hydraulic bleed on the MMM lift but dealer came to MY place and fixed the problem. I have already ripped the blinker light off the ROP bar (my fault), but again there is a metal bracket you can order from the dealer that will protect the blinker.

Overall Outstanding value for a quality tractor. Don't let the size fool you. This is definately not a lawn tractor on steroids

Strengths This machine does all the work I put to it.Dealer support has been important in getting a fast start. Attachments install/remove quickly. Everything happens the way book says it will. We have 2.5 acre new property (old cow pasture)that needs everything. Finished 1st job which I scheduled 4 days in 2.25 days. Mows 1.5 acres with a lot of slope in 75 minutes. Will climb steep slopes so it's important to use good judgment.

Weaknesses The seat, what is with the seat. Switching from drive to backhoe is #@%*&!!. I do everything by the book, so when I was trenching I'm on and off turning the seat. Switching the seat back and forth is terrible. For such a great tractor I can't believe it is this difficult. Even dealer guy, who really knew the product, struggled with rotating the seat. !!#%&*XX!

Overall Great investment. I seriously looked at the Massey-Ferguson GC2310 TLB That was $18200 but delivery w 54" MMM was 2 weeks. J-D Dealer delivered within 1 week and did a 2-hour orientation. I liked both machines but needed to get to work and FVE helped me do that. With this machine I'm upping the schedule on projects to be done pulling a number of things I figured on doing in '08 ahead to '07.

Strengths FEL handles any task thrown it's way and effortlessly detaches in about 2min. Powerful engine and hydraulic systems. Who needs zero turn! This 4x4 tractor will turn on a dime! Convenient beer holder that'll hold other drinks too!

Weaknesses My biggest complaint is that the independant lift doesn't come on the tractor from the factory. It is another $500. I don't like removing the MMM everytime I wanna use a rear implement. The drive over mower deck offered with the x-series would have been nice on this tractor. Clearance is real tight removing/installing the MMM and re-leveling the deck wheels is aggravating.

Overall This tractor is awesome. I have 3 acres with alot of obstacles to mow around and can do it in an hour with the loader detached, 1.5 with the loader. Mower is super stout! I hit 3 railroad spikes and it merely dinged a blade. A 5ft box blade seems a little big to me but this tractor will pull it loaded full of gravel with no probs. I have the Harbor Freight Tools version of the I-Match quick hitch. After putting a little effort into modifying my implements for quick hitch attachment, I can now simply lower the draft arms, back up, and raise them (2min). Maintaining my lawn, long gravel drive, landscaping, etc., this tractor is one of the best investments I have ever made. I shopped around and nothing runs like a Deere!

Strengths Follow-up to an earlier post on 5/25/2007. Dealer resolved problems with 62"mmm by installing correct parts on the lift arms and reduced the lateral motion significantly. The 2305 is a mowing dynamo now

Strengths This little tractor will dig like you wouldn't believe. The loader is very strong. The Woods backhoe is awsome. I had a 35hp New Holland for a few years and this 2305 is a much better built tractor. Everything about this tractor is strong.

Strengths Well, lets just say this. I didn't think I could afford to buy the machine I needed to do all the work I had to do, but I was wrong.This little Baby doesn't take "NO" for an answer. I have been ripping up Asphalt and Tree Stumps like nobodies buisiness. I am also amazed at the ease of use of this machine. This is my first Utility Tractor and having never operated one before,I am quickly getting the results I'd hoped for.I can't compare it to other Models but I'm glad I don't have to look for a better solution. All being said, Nice Machine for the Money.

Weaknesses I can't find one right now. I have only had it for a few weeks but so far I am very happy. I guess If I had one Gripe it would be the lack of availability for a Tooth Bar for the 200CX. It's still tearing up the Asphalt but it would be easier with the Bar.

Overall Great little Machine. Everyones needs are different but mine have been met and then some.

Strengths Only have 9 hrs so too soon to tell but loader is easy to attach and remove. When the mower is working, it's a grass cutting machine but read the weaknesses below

Weaknesses The first day I used the mower, the Mid mount pto shaft hit a pin holding brake linkage together and it went back to shop for service the next day. 4 days later it was returned. The very next time I mowed, made a turn and mid mount pto shaft hit pin again, brake linkage fell apart, hit ground and bent parts too badly for repair. Dealer sent technician who implied it was my responsibility to disengage the pto while turning to prevent pto drive shaft from hitting the brake linkage during a turn!!!. And they would have to order the parts so here I am with down new 2305 waiting for technician to return with parts.

Overall This isn't a dealer issue but I feel is a design flaw with the mid-mount mower and suggesting that the user disengage the pto drive during turns is ridiculous

Strengths New to tractors, but so far I'm absolutely thrilled with my new JD 2305. The FEL is very easy to install and remove. The hydraulics function at relatively low rpm's. Used the box blade to begin leveling gravel driveway after winter plowing and was surprised at the brute power of this engine. With MWD engaged it pulls like a mule. Fuel consumption is substantially less when compared to my gas powered garden tractor of similar H.P. The personal service and support provided by this dealer has been excellent so far. Perfect machine For a country homeowner looking for a heavy duty mowing tractor, with the option to use a variety of implements in the future.

Weaknesses Frankly I haven't found anything to really complain about.A collapsible R.O.P. would make a nice option.
