Strengths Good for mowing, and small jobs, controls are very smooth, plenty of power and traction.

Weaknesses While I was moving some dirt with the loader attachment, I tipped it over onto its right side and it BROKE TOTALLY IN HALF, est. repair $16,554.44

Overall Great as long as you are careful with it mine only had 180 hrs. I have to question how durable the housing that broke would be over a long period of especially with the added weight of attachments front and rear, they call it a TRACTOR but its really a large HP yard mower.

Strengths Excellent for grading driveways and spreading gravel. Same for snow clean-up.Good traction.Easy winter starting and fast warm-up.155 hours now with few complaints.

Weaknesses Emergency brake does not hold well and is hard to release.As usual,should have bought bigger. Maybe next year!

Overall BH6000xWoods backhoe okay.Not a fast dig,but if you are retired like me,time is cheap.

Weaknesses goes to fast in high should take of better in high arms did rub !!!! Buddy of mine ( Machinest ) fixed that rubbing problem by using his lathe and water jet to make some pretty nice hub adapters. Spaced them out 2 inches. Very nice to hook up three point attachments. HE MADE EXTRAS IF ANYONE NEEDS THEM..........

Strengths The I-Link system for easy attachments of implements is a dream. The 4X4 feature using the I-4 tires, you will never need for traction, weather mowing grass, plowing snow or cleaning out your barn. I can pull a 5’ disk for working the riding area for our horses. It also comes with factory installed auxiliary hydraulic cooling unit. A slight change for the 2008+ years is you can flip the engine cover with out removing the fuel cap. The hydraulic controls are smooth and very responsive. Lastly the HST transmission is very smooth weather you need creep motion or full throttle for road travel.

Weaknesses Does not come with block heater, had to pay dealer to install it $175 option. Look at the location of the oil filter and the cross brace for the 200CX loader, every time I change the oil it runs all over the cross bracket. At this time John Deere doesn't make a remote oil filter kit. I would really like to move the location of this filter. Lastly the EZ-62 ride on deck does scalp the lawn in high areas, the deck doesn't float in high areas.

Overall A great buy and easy to get service from my local John Deere dealer

Strengths Powerful, compact for what I use it for. Easy to haul on trailer. Love the 4 WD. Cuts grass OK

Weaknesses Mower deck wheels scalps turf. Mower deck wheel broke off when it hit a root. Battery died within two years. ROPS holes didn't line up, had to file holes so pins would go in. Can't open hood unless you remove fuel cap. Hood latch wouldn't open when I first bought tractor.

Overall Glad I bought it. Suits me for what I use it for.

Strengths Good power in low range. fel lifts more than i expected, mows great even with r4 tires

Weaknesses No room for 3 point, high gear too high, Had to rebuild front end at 90 hr.

Overall Tractor has always done what i have asked it to do. Strong unit for 26 hp. No regrets on buying green.

Strengths Plenty of powerPlenty of power, HST pulls an 8x8 chain harrow through the sand arena with ease (when the sand is dry). Still churns through it when wet, works very hard though. 4x4 drivetrain is unstoppable, and 62D onramp mower makes a perfect cut. 200CX loader can lift enormous loads with only filled rear wheels for ballast, and the controls are precise and responsive. Power steering kicks but, with the mid mower deck and HST I could mow lawns all day and forget I am on a tractor until you snag the corner of a house with your ROPS bar and rip a peice of roof loose. The operator presence switch is buffered, so bouncing on the seat won't make your PTO or engine drop out. 62D mower an engine combo are unstoppable in tall grass.

Weaknesses Can't remove/install mower with 200CX front loader installed. 3 PT hitch draft arms rub rear tires when raised 100% with no implement installed. 62D onramp mower's swivel caster "anti-scalp" wheels gouge your turf. JD needs to give us wheels with rounded edges instead of square edges, and perhaps ball bearing swivels. Battery failure occurred once in first year, free replacement. Now tractor occasionally needs to be charged or it won't start - could be my fault with too many short trips. Hood hangs up on fuel cap, must remove before opening hood. ROPS bar locking positions are almost perfect, but still require rocking to push pins in (something my wife can't master). Standard alternator is weak weak weak... upgrade!

Overall HST is a dream to operate, but a little noisy. JD needs to give us improved mower deck wheels. Wish I had HID lights and LED flashers. Multi-speed(gear range) PTO would have been great. PTO driven 21-pole multi-phase generator/rectifier with 15kw pure sinewave inverter and battery bank with eco-throttle control on engine... oops thinking out loud again.

Strengths nice tractor easy to handle, go anywhere, with a cab makes winter nice , heats up , lots of lights

Weaknesses needs a 55 amp alt comes with a 45 amp, reg is under dash 3 hrs labor to repair

Overall have two 2520,s will buy again

Strengths Powerful engine. Nice to drive, quiet, good fuel economy. The 46 backhoe digs nice for a small unit.

Weaknesses You cant use any of the 3 point hitch implements without the hitch rubbing the rear tires. Dont buy this model if this is your intention! NO power in high range. The hydrostat drive whines alot. Backhoe is a pain to take on and off.

Overall Not a bad tractor, a bit pricey for such a small machine. I sent mine back and have ordered the 3120 model. A little more money, but alot more machine.

Strengths Very user friendly. Plenty of power anything that I have ran across.

Weaknesses As everyone else has said, needs a wider rear end. A three range transmission would also be nice.

Overall I have used several other tractors, BX7800, TC29D, Farmall 31 and the 2520 is by far a superior machine.
