Price Paid : $0.00
Years of Use : 2-Years
Implements : 5' box blade, 5' rotary cutter, 5' roto-tiller, hiller, middle buster, 6" chipper, 5' finish mower
Purchased From : Quality Equipment, Roxboro NC
Strengths Price, great PTO power, good fuel economy. The 60" width does well in tight places. HST makes loader work easy. Light enough to not bog down too much on wet/soft ground. Operator area is open & comfortable - no significant tranny hump getting in the way. 4WD + lockable differential.
Weaknesses No option for proper off-seat PTO operation (I end up putting a bag of chains on the seat). Relatively light weight (even w/ loaded tires) which can result in wheel spin in some situations. Rear remotes are optional rather than standard. ROP does not fold. Acceptable FEL leak down is greater w/ 305 loader than many other JD models. Idiot light for temp rather than gauge.
Overall After 2 years of use, no breakdowns, no problems. Always starts immediately. With typical field cutting or finish mowing it uses about 1/2 gallon an hour. Only negative noted is paint peeling on the outside of the seat pan.

Strengths handles good, great on fuel, 305 loader works fairly well, good tractor for someone who doesnt use much
Weaknesses mine has 317 hr. been broke down 3 times. loader had defedt from factory, drive shaft to front end broke, very small drive shaft, now wont start, starter or some other electrical problem.
Overall if tractor would stay working and running it would be a nice tractor, this is my first John Deere but it will probably be my last. maybe i got a lemon but it dont reflect good on my experiences with John Deere

Price Paid : $0.00
Years of Use : 180-Days
Implements : FEL, 5' Box Blade, 6' Rot Cutter, Pallet Forks, Auger
Purchased From : P&K Equipment
Strengths Great Power for the Price-point. Loader has good breakout power and easily scoops up overflowing buckets of compacted clay/soil. Also use full size pallet-forks and have no difficulty lifting several loads of steele (suprisingly!!!).
Weaknesses ROPS is not a fold-down, and fuel gauge is on tank-cap, which is not as nice as some 20 series models...but then again, I would not pay $12K more to upgrade all the options either! Fuel consumption is a bit heavier than what I expected...you cannot run this tractor for 10 hours on a tank of diesel!!!
Overall This tractor is a TANK! It has so much power for it's size, and the tractor apparently xfers most of the 38 horses to the business end of whatever you are needing the tractor to accomplish. I am amazed at the abiltiy to tackle big jobs with this compact tractor. I bought this tractor with the idea that I would get the tractor I "really need" in a few years...but as it turns out, this tractor is really all the tractor I need!

Price Paid : $17,000.00
Years of Use : 30-Days
Implements : Loader, Ballast Box
Purchased From : Wainwright John Deere, NJ
Strengths SEverything I need. Power, simplicity, style, traction, you name it.
Weaknesses Short wheel base. Doing a lot of drainage work, I may miss the extra length to reach hard to get to spots with the loader. Less loader power than that of the 300CX. So far so good though.
Overall Everything I will ever need. Deere finally got it right by combining solid standard features in an economical package. I wouldn't trade it for anything!
No mid mount PTO or Frame Mount backhoe option. That was the only thing holding me back from this tractor. I was looking at 3320 but the price was just too much. Did more research, and found that there are many 3pt backhoe options that will do everything I need. As for midmount, I think I can live with a 3pt finish mower. I will have at least 4 acres to mow eventually anyway. With those two issues resolved, saving 10 grand or more and getting a machine like this is awesome. 37 hp motor and 30HP PTO! That's what it boils down to anyway. POWER!
One last thing. Swap the standard bucket for the heavy duty material bucket with a bolt on cutting blade. Worth the extra couple hundred bucks.
