Strengths Fuel efficincy-tractor uses 1.5 gph average.A high perf. HYD pump flow allows quick work of any job. Good power- very easy to change attachments- great lifting power- onboard scale works great and is handy- almost impossible to get this unit stuck due to it's full time 4wd and teliscoping boom. Aux hyd. ports at end of boom make this unit great for attachments that require extra hyd. hookup- great lighting

Weaknesses no PTO-engine cranks hard when below 10 degrees, electronic joystick seems almost over-sensitive some of the time. unit has too many safety devices that sometimes hinder the operator. unable to circulate hyd. oil through a loop unless operator is in operator's seat and hand is in joystick.-visability is not very good on front right side when compared to a conventional tractor.

Overall Overall, a very good machine especially with the parts and service of Deere and Co. This machine is easily more capeable than most operators and definatly tests the limits of operator experience. If the JD 3420 was a basketball player, it would have to be Michal Jordan. even with it's few flaws, most can be easily overlooked and/or adapted too. getting back into the best tractor after operating this machine will leave you feeling helpless and wishing it was a telehandler. this unit has almost the durability of a front end loader with the agility of a forklift. plus you can buy a new telehandler for about 20K less money than a comparable tractor/loader setup. only downside is no PTO

Strengths side brakes on left,loadmatch function,deceptively strong tractor,select on the go pto,very happy with machines ability to work in many variable conditions, exellent loader tractor.

Weaknesses diff lock is not a true tractor type diff lock,seating needs improving for long hours,steering wheel tilt adjustment not robust plastic shoude arround seat easily cracked,engine could do with large increase of torque

Overall generally a brilliant little work horse
