Implements : 2003 tractor, 410 loader, 513 rotary cutter, Weight box,

Strengths Direct injection engine started regardless of cold, no glo plugs to deal with. Engine has sufficient power for machine. Quick detatch 53" bucket from loader frame. Nice loader control valve location.
Weaknesses Yanmar 3 cylinder engine loud with excessive emissions and vibration. Hands were numb after operating for a few hours. External power steering lines get caught in brush and damaged. fuel line got pulled off by brush while mowing with brushog. Front driveshaft hangs down under tractor, and rubber boot got damaged while mowing. Loader frame flimsy when moving dirt. Loader pivot points at bucket non greasable, and were excessively worn at 100 hours. FRONT AXLE EXPLODED AT 114 HOURS DUE TO WHEEL BEARING FAILURE, AXLE DESIGN NOT SUFFICIENT FOR THIS TRACTOR (maybe for a lawnmower) WHEEL BEARINGS BEGAN TO SHOW WEAR AT 80 HOURS. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PLANET(GENTLEMAN WHO SPOKE LITTLE ENGLISH). Price was more than other manufacters machines that are better desinged and built.
Overall My John Deere experience was a nightmare, mainly because of their lack of customer service and their refusal to warranty their product. I was star struck by the green paint, and thought this tractor would be every thing I had always wanted. I wish I'd looked at other makes and compared prices a little more, because after this fiasco, I bought a Kubota. It was a much better machine for much less money. Don't let the shinny green paint affect your decision when it comes to making a major purchase like I did. I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND A JOHN DEERE TO ANYONE!!!!!!!
