Strengths Strong and dependable. All around great tractor for the size. (Hay/plowing/tree pulling) I would buy another.

Weaknesses Electrical system is weak. Little things going out. Only once has it had a major problem and that was the solenoid on the fuel pump. BIG bucks and a real time killer.

Overall Bought new in 2007. I have around 800hrs on it.

Strengths 5205 Starts well in cold weather, the 522 loader is strong, love the 24 inch front wheels, they make working in the mud or in the woods much easier.

Weaknesses I bought this tractor from T&T Power in Feb '06 and have had a fuel problem ever since. It smokes so bad it will make you sick and after many trips to different shops it doesn't smoke as bad but sounds like it is skipping! T&T is the worst dealer I've ever done business with!!!

Overall I love the size of the tractor and what I can do with it, but it is a lemmon and neither the dealer or Deere will back it up. There should be equiptment lemmon laws in New Hampshire! I'm going to buy a Kubota.

Strengths none that equals the preminum price of the green

Weaknesses the electrical system. there are 3 6400 series tractors within 10 miles that were purchased from 3 different dealers that have had electrical problems.

Overall there should be a john deere lemon law.

Weaknesses Do they not put fluid in the rear tires anymore? The rear of the tractor is so light, that it's a problem. Pick up a bale of hay with the front end loader, and if you have any kind of grade to climb on wet soil...you ain't makin' it! Also, had to have the service department fix the individually powered lift arms on the loader...when an implement is not attached, one will respond faster than the other...this creats a problem sometimes hooking up bale fork or loader bucket.

Overall A great tractor for small time farmer/rancher who is going to use a front-end loader and feeds a few cows/horses. Would easily run an 8' Brush Hog if not in 2" sprouts. Buying weights or filling tires with fluid is an absolute must!

Weaknesses I had to purchase extra rear weights to eliminate wheel slip while pulling groundbreaking equip.and with full loader.i have had minor electrical problems with the heat guage and the pto alarm but the dealer corrected them easily.rear scv's and telescoping lift arm stabilizers should be standard.

Overall The price for the tractor and loader was less or equal to even the off brands.resale value is usually exellent for most deere products.the biggest gripe I have is the lack of telescopic stabilizers.They shouldnt cost much more to manufacture and are much easier to adjust.
