Strengths This tractor has done every thing I have asked of it. Plenty of power burned out x2 sets of clutches on the MX6 cutter. Went with coil springs on clutch pack and havnt looked back.

Weaknesses I have to agree with above on paint,the paint is turning loose on the metal parts on the isolated platform. Had a front rim split. No tire damage just the rim developed a 4" crack and let the air out. Had to replace the fuel float in the tank,the fuel gauge was jumping allover the place.Now the fuel gauge is stuck on full. I replaced the float again with no help.JD tech. told me the fuel gauge has quit and the whole gauge cluster has to be replaced about $350 for the cluster. I just keeping it top off for the time being. This tractor is not self priming if you drain the water separator even just a little it has to be reprimed.

Overall I have right at 2000 hrs on this tractor and overall I have been happy.

Strengths MFWD works great. I have the open isolated platform which is wonderful in cutting back on vibrations felt by the operator and the work platform is very roomy. I have put on about 600 hours in three years on this tractor. The front end loader (FEL) is the most useful implement although the hydralics could be faster when dumping the bucket.

Weaknesses Paint job on metal parts is substandard. Specifically, the green paint is peeling on metal painted parts typically at the metal edges and have noticed some bubbling of green paint under where the seat is bolted down.

Overall Again, I'm disappointed in the paint. John Deere needs to get with the time and look into powder coating of all metal parts although I have not had a problem with the black painted parts nor the fiberglass painted components.

Strengths Ease of use, overall design is excellent. Strong tractor for its size. Loader with joystick is a breeze to use.

Weaknesses None I know of in two years of use

Overall Would buy another JD based on this tractor.

Strengths I love the ISOLATED PLATFORM, the 4-WHEEL ASSIST, and the ECONOMY PTO GEARING options.

Weaknesses I was a little disappointed with the shifting levers at first, but after I got used to them... everything is fine. This tractor has no weaknesses.

Overall I researched this purchase to the max before ordering. Now (2 years later), I would order one exactly the same way. Pinch me; I love it.

Strengths very strong, comfortable tractor. mfwd works flawlessly, ample operator room, controls easy at hand

Overall excellent mid size utility tractor. A real workhorse.
