Strengths Good cut. Light weight.
Weaknesses Engine oil leak developed under warranty. Dealer relaced head near end of warranty period. This did not fix problem. Dealer claimed JD would do nothing more. Hydraulic pump leak at 1000 hours. Control levers do not have a good fit.
Overall Have in past had good luck with Kawasaki air cooled engines. Probably would not buy another after this experience. Never have had good luck with JD hydraulic pumps. Overall, the machine is functional and cost effective. It cuts well and as long as I keep the leaking oil off the cooling fins and make sure the engine oil and hydraulic oil are full I have few problems.
