Strengths Loader lifts more than I thought it could. Good power. Starts every time. Four wheel drive nearly unstoppable. I like the foot throttle. Use it for hobby farm in Missouri Ozarks. Have bad back and beats a shovel and wheelbarrow any day.
Weaknesses Seat position did not go back far enough. Had to unbolt and re-attach farther back and still slides works great for me now. Repositioned vacumn hose behind seat so it would not be pinched by the seat. Seemed like it was made for a small Oriental man and not for a long legged American. Needs a toolbox mounted somewhere on it.
Overall For my use, it's great. I bought a small garden tractor/mower because I don't like to have all my eggs in one basket, but now I wish I'd bought a brushhog or finish mower for the 790. A superior tractor. I'm thinking of selling my walk behind tiller and buying a tiller for the John Deere tractor. I have many rocks in the soil here. I think the tractor could handle it.

Strengths Lots of power. Good on fuel. Wide gear range. Starts up first try under all weather conditions. Very little spent on repairs, in five years. Holds it's value well.
Weaknesses Battery cable corrosion.
Overall Would buy again.

Strengths Works great in poultry houses because of its small size but easily pulls a 500 gallon washer.
Weaknesses JD is the best

Strengths Easy to handle. Starts easy. Now mechanical problems yet.
Weaknesses Battery corrosion. Can't put chains on front wheels. Difficult to plow with out front wheel chains.

Strengths Very strong tractor, diesel engine has lots of power for anything i would use it for, LOVE how the transmission in low range is SO LOW GEARED.
Weaknesses I dont like that you have to sit on the seat or it will shut off like a lawnmower does but that isnt really too important

Strengths Solid gear train, silky smooth power steering,
very tight overall operation, great balance to weight - after five years, this tractor runs as strongly as it did new - it always starts with the first key turn.
Weaknesses The ONLY negative for me is the narrow rear wheel width (53")- the seat height (which is good) combined with this narrow width makes you feel a little less than sure in some uneven, less-than-level ground situations
Overall I love this machine - if the rear wheels could be spaced wider, it would be absolutely perfect. I'll give it a "perfect" though - which ain't bad!

Strengths Excellent power/weight ratio. Heavy built for a bottom of the line machine. Loader cylinders work great and bucket is very strong.
Weaknesses Being a narrow machine, it is very tippy with the loader; especially on uneven ground.
Overall I have used this Loader like a bulldozer for clearing land of scrub oaks and moving dirt. I've busted the hood once and speared the radiator also. All my fault, I would love to have a shuttle shift reverser for my loader though.
