Strengths I have 150 hours of HARD mowing with my G110. The mower is constantly on the side of a hill due to living in the mountains. I have never had a problem with my mower backfiring. It is truly built to last.

Weaknesses The front end seems to be the week part of my mower. I have replaced 2 broken cast iron front axles. Additionally, I am noticing some wear in the steering system. Occasionally it will smoke when I first crank the mower. Be sure to grease the fittings as I am seeing some wear in my deck and front wheel bearings.

Overall Overall my G110 has been a great mower. I have been through a Murray and a Craftsman that lasted 1-2 years each. I have been mowing for 4 years with my G110 and expect to at least get another 4. It is a tough mower, I just wish that the front end and steering system was built to match the rest of the mower.

Overall To stop the Back Firing....after operating at full throttle,before shut down,let the mower idle for 5 minutes,that stopped the back firing for me....I had the same problem with my G100,25hp etc...

Strengths Easy starting and good mower. Requires only basic maintenance. Two pedal drive system is great! It's easy to use and my wife and even the 12 year old next door love it! It is very stable and performs well on flat and sloped areas. The seat is very comfortable with the lumbar support. The tractor also has a nice turning radius which reduces the amount of trimming needed. The ability to adjust the mower cutting height from the seat is also a great feature.

Weaknesses After nearly 3 full years of use, I can only think of 2 problems with this tractor. First, the mower deck is constantly covered in lawn clippings. You can't even clean them off with broom, hose, or an air gun. You MUST remove the deck and remove the safety sheilds around the pulleys to clean all of the grass off of the deck. I usually only perform this chore once or twice a season when I sharpen my blades. The second issue is that after I am finished mowing, and shut the tractor down, it backfires. It doesn't do this when the engine is cold, only after it's warmed up. I've had the local dealer look at it, but they said they couldn't get it to backfire (It's kinda "funny" that I get it to backfire EVERY time I use it).

Overall All things considered this is a solid performing machine. I purchased my tractor before the cruise control was available, and that would be the only option I can say I wish I had (because I am cutting 2 acres). Other than that, this machine has performed wonderfully with no major problems.
