Strengths Mows good when nothing wrong with it!

Weaknesses Won't start when outside temperature is below about 40 degrees F so snowblower out of question, used for almost 3 years and have replaced battery, had to have original deck welded because it broke at 2 seams, after 1 year had to replace steel piece near deck that just snapped in half, tires constantly go flat since purchase, etc., etc. On top of this, can't get local dealer to come pick it up for repair. They say they are swamped with repairs on John Deere's.

Overall Won't buy another John Deere. L100 was recommended as best for the size area that I have to mow, but machine can't handle it.

Strengths It mows grass

Weaknesses it is now a pile of metal in my garage. Sounds like it's about to explode when it is started...will only stay running at high engine RPM due to intake pushrod issues.

Overall Just because it's the cheapest doesn't mean it should purposely break engine components. This tractor is garbage. Steer Clear. I have one,and will not buy a John Deere ever again.

Strengths I have owned this tractor 4 years with no problems.

Weaknesses I would say the seems top heavy and maybe under powered a bit.

Overall Like I said 4 yrs with a lot of use and no problems.

Strengths Mowes like a champ !!! Starts easy - easy on gas - reliable

Weaknesses Kind of rough ride- You do have to change oil and grease it- something these other guys seem to overlook

Overall Great tractor for the Price

Strengths You people need to understand that you bought THE CHEAPEST MACHINE JOHN DEERE MAKES! What do you think you are getting? Spend a little more money and at least get the machine with an oil pump.

Weaknesses The engine is a weak point on this mower. Get the next model up with an oil pump.

Overall What you are getting is exactly what you paid for.

Strengths There are no strengths....Had Wheelhorse for years....would never buy another John Deere....

Weaknesses Bagger would not stay on after I mounted it....Called local dealer he said factory did not drill hole for one of the cotter keys, I had to pay them a pickup fee to take tractor to their shop to repair and it was brand new. I called John Deere customer service and spoke to a lady named Billy Jo she said that the policy we can!t help you. The Tractor is less than 3 years old and last month the cable that engages the mower busted.......

Overall

Strengths NONE Without doubt the worst riding lawnmower I have ever owned.It has a 17 horsepower Briggs and Stratton engine designed by John Deere

Weaknesses Defective motor that breaks the intake pushrod and several other problems. I have had the pushrod replaced 4 times in the approx.2 years I have owned this pile of junk. The repairman and a salesman at home Depot both state the engine will continue to break pushrods because of the design by John Deere

Overall JUNK John Deere will not even talk to me but will always tell me that someone will contact me within 3 working days to solve the problem. IT DOE'S NOT HAPPEN.

Strengths NONE

Weaknesses OWNED IT FOR THREE MONTHS AND ITS BROKE DOWN ALREADY.
