Strengths Easy to turn, steer, shift between gears.
Weaknesses None so far
Overall I have had this mower for over 3 years and have not had one problem with it. I have never had to replace any part and it has never stalled. It is very reliable. I love it! I have a 2 acre yard that is a steep incline; and have no problems going up or down.

Implements : Mulching kit
Purchased From : Hi Crop Equipment, New Iberia, La
Strengths Well constructed, easy of use, and comfortable. Very easy to maintain, and great support from the dealer.
Weaknesses On a scale of 1 - 10 the cut is a 9. Does not mulch as well as my Snapper did. However, the comfort and ease of use more than make up for the difference.
Overall Generally a great mower, dollar for dollar a better buy than the Snapper. Much more comfortable and versitale.

Strengths great PTO power, and hill - hill climbing capibilities
Weaknesses when driving over un-even spots the mower deck hits the ground and is pushed up only to hit the engine pulley and make a horribly loud scrapping sound
the tiers ARE horrible on this tractor they provide almost no traction.
the transmission is much too small for the mighty 21 hp engine, a big lack of torque and speed.
Overall A GREAT tractor for the money, I've had id for over 2 years and never have replaced anything on it but the mower blades. I mow Way more than the recommended acres i have 30 acres and i mow over half of it with this little tractor. its great for mowing my ditches all but the sides this little tractor climbs up and out of these really steep ditches.

Weaknesses Mower deck, transmission, just overall cheap. Although they have no problem asking $1,899.00 + more for the mulch kit...they are crazy.
And with the mower deck adjustment handle on the right side makes it hard to get off and on from the left. To the right you have the deck discharge chute. Just bad engineering, the Scott's has better controls and that was 6 years ago.
See overall..
Overall I bought this LA-125 from a guy in foreclosure. It had only 7 hours on it when I got it. I now have 16 hours and one of the deck idler pully's just came off. Went to the JD dealer and handed him the part. He came back with a 'repair kit'. Ya think that they don't know that the pully bolt is a problem?
If I hadn't bought this POS so cheep I would be pissed. Oh, the dealer will fix it 'under warranty' but he said that it would be two weeks! I can fix it myself with the kit ($70.00) in 4 hours start to finish, so I asked for a discount on the kit.....no way.
I'm going fix it and sell it off. I have a 2002 Scott's built by JD that still does a great job.

Strengths A very robust mower. Powerful and easy to maneuver. (whoever does this site needs to check the site under Mozilla Firefox, because the CSS is all messed up - having trouble typing in some boxes).
Weaknesses Mulching system is weak; the design is prone to breakage and grass will get stuck in the flap and bog down the engine sometimes. Tires are almost useless in even slightly wet grass or mud.
Overall I have pushed this mower way beyond its recommended usage. I'm routinely mowing 8+ acres for more than 3 years. I've broken a spindle and a blade, cracked the undercarriage mow box in multiple places and had to have it welded, but this little mower just keeps on going.

Strengths Comfortable, good looks, ease of cleaning. Easy to drive. Cup holder. Turns sharply. Nice cut on smooth, level terrain.
Weaknesses Does not cut evenly over bumpy (rough) lawns. Have to cut grass often otherwise it is left in rows and has to be raked and picked up. Single cylinder engine sometimes backfired when stopping engine. Takes a bit of time to get mulch cover in place. Blades had to be sharpened as they are rather dull when new. Gas cap could be closer to rear of machine instead of centered under seat (have to use funnel to prevent spillage as gas can spout is not long enough.

Strengths Reliability. Ease of use.
I have had this mower for five years and it mows
as well today as it did when it was brand new.
Weaknesses None
Overall My favorite possession! It is always ready to mow when you are. I have never replaced a part other than
the batterry and normal tune up parts.
I cut over two acres and I am a widow.
