Strengths Plenty of power when it is running.
Weaknesses Has less than 15 hrs on the engine and is ready to go back to the shop because it will not start. This will be the 4th time in the shop. Does not give quality cut to grass, has a 54" deck and does not mow evenly.
Overall From the problems I am having with this would not purchase another John Deere lawn mower.

Strengths easy to stat
runs good, easy to operate foot peddle, very tight turning
Weaknesses none, its always started, does stop sometimes for no reason, seems to have trouble on really long thick st augustine in the rainy season.
Overall good looking equipment, gets the job done

Strengths Its green, no problem with starting,
Weaknesses engine only 3 yrs old already uses oil ans smokes, noise under the deck, poor engine, serviced more often than required, with JD kits, oil, filter, spark plug, air fliter, motor is junk
Overall wish I had my money back, I'd buy a sears at least I new what I was buying

Strengths Frame and other structural components are very strong and well finished. No corrosion issues.
Weaknesses Too many safety devices. I disconnected all of them but the one on the seat that stops the engine when you get up (or fall off). Kohler engine's camshaft bent on second useage. Dealer wanted to rebuild the engine. Had to get John Deere involved to replace the engine. No way I was accepting a rebuilt engine on a brand new tractor. Oil drain cap hard to remove. Very difficult to replace drive belt. User's manual does not give instruction on replacing drive belt (not mower belt).
Overall Fair at best. The automatic transmission is nice. No shifting gears. But the engine is the weak point. And my local John Deere dealer has gone out of business so I've had to learn to maintain the thing myself.

lt 150 great mower

Strengths None...
Weaknesses This tractor is a P.O.S. The deck is terrible and has been welded on 5 times with 95 hours on it. Just recently blew the motor after it was serviced at the dealer and I only used it 2 times before it blew. The 15 HP Kohler motor is a P.O.S. and they are very expensive for JUNK.
Overall Buyer Beware and I would not buy another John Deere product, especially the high prices they are bringing at the dealerships vs. either Lowe's or Home Depot.

Strengths Starts reliably. That's about it.
Weaknesses Unmitigated junk. Blown head gasket just out of warranty. Replaced quill assembly in year 2, needed to have mower deck welded back together in year 3. You name it. Could not keep this thing running, and this tractor got occasional use only. The only guy who likes this tractor is my mechanic.
Overall Garbage.
