Strengths Solid performer, low maintenance required
Weaknesses Drive belt takes some time to change but lasts many years
Overall Been mowing a 2 acre lot for seven years and just now replaced the drive and deck belts (they were very worn but still usable). Have kept the oil and filter changes according to maintenance schedule..........have not had to replace or repair anything....a solid perfomer.

Strengths great mower. pulls 3oo lb. logs. mows great. hauls dirt rock, and mulch without any trouble. change oil and filter once a year.
Weaknesses seat suspenion is poor
Overall very happy, 7years old.

Strengths Good solid deck but I wish it had gage wheels to prevent scalping.
Weaknesses koehler engine started burning oil after 7 years even though oil and filter were changed approx every 50 hours of useage.
Overall Better than your average rider but then you pay more $ for that fact.

Strengths
Weaknesses mine is a 2003 model everone please check you carburator to make sure the screws do not go through the engine. there are two brass butterfly the first one is for the choke and the second one is the throttle. the second one is the engine killer.

Strengths My LT150 runs great. I have 319 hours on the meter. I mow a little less than 1/2 acre.
Weaknesses The seat material gets brittle over time and cracks
Overall Except for the seat material I am very pleased with my LT150

Strengths LT150 Best andtotally trouble free Id' buy another John Deere (not MTD0 from a John Deere dealer if I get a bigger yard. The LT150 is so perfect and touble free, The dealer has available some optional attachments. Mine is 5 years old and I can't complain. I then bought a weed trimmer, An total plusses for that - starts every time, turn it off for a few moments, Just rpime and pull once, I also have a Fohn Deere mower wich is as perfect as everything else that I have bought from a John Deere Dealer . Don't let the 'local hardware stores fool you).
You get a true John Deere fron only a JOHN DEERE Dealer.
What you find at you your harware stores is a unit built by MTD and is not the sam Quality Product.
Weaknesses None to report after five years.

Strengths Bought new in 2005 and mow an acre and half. This tractor only has a 38inch deck because of storage barn door size. But the Kohler engine still does'nt use any oil, and has never failed to start easily. I disconnected all the safety's at new. Can't seem to wear it out, so I bought a new LA135 this year, and gave my old one to my grandson to start mowing lawns with, and now he is making $$ with it. Still all original other than maintinence.
Weaknesses Can't find any except maybe the price.
Overall A good mower for the homeowner.

Strengths bought this tractor new in 2002 cut 1/2 acre for 7 years runs perfect with only general maintenance. still has original deck and drive belts
Weaknesses didn't cut in reverse due to safety switch when i bought it. i fixed that in first 10 minutes of operation. there is a simple snap plug under rear axle, simply unplug and tape ends. my tractor has been cutting like a champ in reverse for 7 years.....
Overall the key for longevity of this tractor is good maintenance. service i service @ the start of each season use mobil 1 extended life full synthetic oil change oil and air filters every season. keep tires air to correct pressure 12psi front 8psi rear this helps keep the deck level. alco buy the cheap deck leveling tool (couple bucks) from john deere and level your deck according to manufacture specs. i have had and worked on several mowers over the years and found that none come from factory leveled properly. this causes belts to wear and bearings to fail.
