Strengths This is a great tractor. Just got done plowing 5in of snow without chains. One word AWSOME!!!!!! The tractor works without a flaw

Strengths Very well built, lots of power, the TuffTorq K72 Transaxle is a monster with the diff lock and lets this machine climb like a mountain goat and it is quiet. Manual steering is so light i cannot imagine ever needing power steering.

Weaknesses None in over a year and almost 100 hrs other than maybe wishing it had a hydraulic lift on it.

Overall We use this tractor with a 54" deck to mow 5 acres of very rough acreage yard including the old train tracks and around our dugout, other than dulling the blades after each mowing it never complains, also use it to blow out our entine yard in the winter and it always starts even at -30c plus we have a set of disks we pull to disk up 10 acres of fileds in the spring and a couple times in the summer if the weeds beat us, it also pulls a 55imp gallon gas powered sprayer to do the fields.

Strengths Tractor has lots of power, and is relatively easy to operate. The 54' mower does a fantastic job, and the grease fittings are guranteed to add years to the life of the machine.

Weaknesses The deck is not the easiest to remove, so plan on having someone help you. With 2 people, the job goes a lot easier

Strengths Lots of torque, quiet compared to similar mowers, controls are easy to use and easily reached, individual direction control pedals, high ground speed.

Weaknesses Boarding the mower with the 54" deck is a little tough for us old, fat guys.

Overall I just purchased my X500 to replace an old Troybilt GTX2446. With the increased deck width and higher ground speed, I have cut my mowing time by 60%. I have some major slopes in my yard ant the X500 climbs them with ease. With the three bag (14 bushel) material collection system, I can even bag wet grass. This is an awesome machine. I might be the last person in my rural neighborhood to buy a Deere, but I can guarantee you that I'm the happiest.
