Strengths I

Weaknesses the right front axle broke off a year ago and now it sounds like the bearing is rolling around inside. Just took it to the dealer today. I was mowing my lawn, 6 acres last year and the wheel broke right off at the axle, very thin metal there. Got it repaired and now this. I love the tractor, A/C in the summer and warm plowing snow in the winter.

Overall With the exception of what I just stated, great machine.

Strengths Utility machine. It cuts grass but you also can move material, rototill and brushhog. These are just the attachments I have for it. It's a amazing I moved 10 tons of cow manure in less than an 1/2 hour. The next day I moved 7 tons of mushroom compost in the same amount of time. So basicly I moved all of it in little more than 1 hour if I would of done it by wheel barrel. I would spent the whole day or more.

Weaknesses R-4 tires are not the best when cutting grass. They have tendency to tear up the yard. It uses more diesel than I thought it would but still it's not too bad. It uses a little less than 1 gal an hr.

Overall This machine is great. I also have a ex-mark CT and I love it but not as much as this machine. I'm going to save myself many hrs and it's fun to work with especially now that I haved learned how to use the front end loader and tiller.

Weaknesses Hydro tansmission means you cant plow with it, dont lift disk, no remotes, very tippy, transmission loud, tractor is WAY too light. Not much ground clearence. Ate a transmission. Being replaced with MX5100. A real tractor

Overall Was wrong about it. Its not a real tractor. Its designed for you to drive around your 5 acres and feel like a farmer. Has no practical use. Its a yuppie tractor

Strengths Easy to handle and move around. Controls are handy and it will do everything around our horse training ranch except pickup a big round bale. The cab is incredible and makes the work much more pleasant

Weaknesses The seat is horrible. How they could of not changed this is beyond me. No standard work light in the back is a problem more often than we thought. The rear is VERY light and tire ballast is a must. Road gear speed is patheticly slow.

Overall We really love this tractor and would buy one again.

Strengths Powerful little tractor, easy to drive, good for road repair work, and just about anything I can think of.

Strengths Strong 4cyl, good A/C, good heat, 3pt position control, cab is solid, replacement seat is awesome, stereo/cd is nice, visibility.

Weaknesses Hydro is way too loud in cab! No wonder John Deere brags about their cab being quieter. The dude that selected the original seat for this unit needs to quit his job and design interrogation torture devices. Run dont walk to the dealer and demand the replacement seat. This tractor had and unbearably loud hydro whine when delivered. Took to another dealer for FEL hose leak and he diagnosed the hydro trans as "Bad". Kubota agreed to have him open the hydro unit and they discovered a factory misgrind on a machined pump face. The pump was replaced under warranty. Now unit is much quieter and stronger but still too loud. This all happened before 50hrs.

Overall This is my second Kubota. I traded in my BX2200, which by the way was bulletproof, for this unit. I am off to a bad start but will continue to evaluate. Also, this unit is way too tippy with a cab. Problem is now nearly solved by having Rim Guard ballast put in the tires. This stuff is a thick liquid made from beet juice. Works fantastic. Basically I bought this thing to escape the brutal cold while moving snow and to keep the grass and grasshoppers out of my nose in the summer while mowing in Indiana. That part works great. Dear Kubota, For what these things cost, where in the heck is the dome light, horn and backlit gage needles?

Strengths Great Tractor - great price and excellent quality. Received new replacement seat for $40.00, alot better comfort.

Weaknesses Dash Lights when illuminated hard to see gages. Lack of a HORN. Kubota should sell a kit for it, however am in the process of changing out light switch assemble from a new B26 to use the Kubota Horn complete. I believe, all is needed is the actual horn, switch/light assembly, two wires and grab power from the fuze box with added fuze.

Strengths HSD is excellent for FEL work and mowing; my wife loves it; I can get the FEL disconnected in less than 90 seconds and reattached in under 60 seconds; the backhoe comes off in less than 5 minutes and reattaches in about the same. The mower comes off in 5 minutes but takes about 10 minutes to reattach. THIS IS A VERY VERSATILE MACHINE. It is the largest size appropriate for mowing a tree-filled lawn, yet large enough to do most any task on a 20-acre farm. It is perfect for clearing brush and building horse trails and hiking trails.

Weaknesses I wish it had a parking brake indicator, horn, and side-opening fuel tank. All are minor. Winchester Equipment sales staff was great, parts are very good but not always in stock, and the repair guys have been a letdown.

Overall I have 5 more payments on a 3-year loan, and I will very likely buy a second so I can use the DEL and backhoe while my wife mows. This is the perfect machine if you want to mow, build trails, modest excavation, medium-duty forestry and woodcutting, heavy-duty landscaping, and general material handling. My bobcat quick-attach plate (by ATI) allows me to rent and use a variety of Bobcat attachments.

Strengths This is my first compact tractor other than lawn tractors. Is is awesome with the cab. It is much better than I expected in snow and cold. The broom and blower can be changed in minutes. With the extra work lights and wipers the cab is a dream--did I mention that already? Seems to be built like a tank--time will tell. Being able to finance the balance at 0% is sweet.

Weaknesses It took almost a month to get, but was delivered in an enclosed trailer because the roads were wet and salty, which was nice. Also hate the chute rotator--It spins way too fast. I can not imagine something will not break without some type of restricter or adjustment in the hoses. The turf tires sit higher than the bar tires by at least an inch--had to fab a ballast box the first night home to get it into my garage.

Overall I have only had it a few days but unless things start breaking down I would Highy recommend this as a cabbed tractor for someone looking for the extra comforts. This is way overkill for my 1.25 acre lot, but I am the envy of the neighborhood. This tractor is also very wife-friendly, she was blowing snow in a matter of minutes.
