Strengths Warm cab
Weaknesses In 2005 I bought the B3030 mainly for the heated cab while blowing snow. In it's second winter a blower control cable broke and it cost over $400 to replace it.
This fall I noticed the fuel gauge wasn't working. I looked in the Illustrated Parts List and the B3030 Cabin (Supplement) Workshop Manual to see what it would take to check connections between the sending unit and the gauge and decided it was more work than it was worth. With a big snow storm on 19 December I spent a lot of time in the B3030. I discovered that head lights, turn signals and instrument lights were all out. I checked the fuse and it was ok. I took a look at what it would take to get behind the instrument panel and it wasn't intuitively obvious.
I stopped by Boullion Sales and they instantly suggested mice. They told me how to pull the Panel Board and Lower Cover Panel. I was making good headway until I couldn't get the Panel Board over the steering column and throttle lever. Another call to Boullion suggested moving the steering column. I would have never thought of that since few tractors have a movable steering column, but it worked. There was mice nesting material every where and about six wire were completely chewed up.
I can repair the wiring and I guess I'll have to redesign the Panel Board and Lower Cover Panel to make it inhospitable to mice. It was obvious that the dealer knew about the problem. I hope they talk to Kubota. It would have been nice to have gotten a letter letting me know that there is a potential problem and what solutions are being evaluated. I'm an engineer and have to redesign stuff the doesn't work all the time. However I have little experience with tractor cabs. It also infuriates me that I have to sweep up after engineers that can't tie their own shoes.
Overall At the moment I'm furious

Strengths I got lucky and was able to purchase a B3030 with the factory cab from my boss. I wasn't too into the cab, but that has made it an unbelieveable machine!! Working in the cold, wet, windy, snow weather - no problem! I've only had it for a couple weeks, but so far it has more than impressed me. Strong engine, good controls, great vision, a joy to operate.
Weaknesses Not many I can find yet. I've had some difficulty getting out of the cab without hitting one of the rearview mirrors with my head, but I'll figure that one out. The seat does tilt forward as many have mentioned, but it has not bothered me yet. There must be a reson they designed it like this??
Overall Outstanding! It is truly a joy to operate and work with. I don't have a ton of hours to back up my experience yet, but if it keeps getting better as it has been, I'm going to love this unit for a long time.

Implements : 2-14 ford plow, 4' drag, 8' disk, 5' landpride bushhog, large box wagon, FEL, 2 row cultivator,
Purchased From : Kuboda of Bevercreek
Strengths Power. Lots of it. Rarely load engine, none the less strain it. I bought the one with the cab, and the stero. Great sound, 4WD works great, love the heat and AC, the seat is very confortable, the 3pt will lift my 880lb landpride mower without even hearing the engine strain, one time i diddnt see a cement block in the field, heard a bang, and saw a little pile of concrete :-) It feels like a real tractor, and handles like an ATV. Get it, you wont be sorry.
Weaknesses Dont start well in the cold. Have to use the glow plugs for 20-30 seconds, then theres a plume of black/gray somke and it fires right up. No light in the cab, but thats no problem.
Overall Would buy it again any day.

Strengths I purchased the B3030HSDCC cold weather cab version this past October 2006 after I purchased a new home. I have only 23 hours on it so far. I used it with the quick hitch and front blade to clear snow this past winter and will be using the front loader and 3 pt implements to complete a lot of landscape work. The tractor has plenty of power and the heat and air work great. I would definately purchase one again.
Weaknesses High center of gravity due to the factory cab.
No cab light which makes it difficult to find some unlit switches in the dark.
The factory seat sucks. I hear Kubota is coming out with a replacement this year.
No other complaints :-).
Overall I am very happy with the tractor and I would purchase one again. If I had more land and was not mowing I probably would go with a L series cab model for the greater front loader lift capacity. For a home owner who is using a tractor for mowing I don't think you can beat the B3030.

Strengths Great hydraulics - a little slow - but very smooth! Very warm cab in cold weather. Great vision from cab - heating system seems to keep most moisture off inside of glass. Seems to have plenty of power. Ground speed options are great - get lots of work done quickly. Controls are smooth and easy to get to. Good choice for corral and barn yard cleanup - gets into small areas and has a good turning radius.
Weaknesses Seat slopes downward causing the operator to readjust often or fall out of seat. Not bad - but irritating. doesn't come with an interior light. Will install my own - but it does seem like they would have thought about that. Might be a little top heavy - but yet to be tested. Wish it had adjustable rear wheel adjustments for adding stability to slope operations. Adjustable steering wheel release too easy to kick with foot once underway.
Overall This is my 3rd Kubota and if this one is anything like the other two - I am going to like it. Bought it predominately to fight cold in the winter and heat and dust in the summer. I use it in the NW for mowing 10 acres+ and snow plowing in the winter and keeping up with our hobby tree farm. It seems to be a great overall machine for the routine sorts of things we do.

Strengths I Purchased the B3030HSDC with LA403 fel in July of 2006.Before purchasing I looked at many different brands including New Holland/Case, John Deere, Mahindra, Cub Cadet, & Farmtrak. In the end I was debating between the John Deere 2520, & Kubota B3030HSD.After looking at both I decided to go with the Kubota because I seemed to get a little better bang for my buck, without giving up any quality!.I ended up coming home with the B3030HSDC.Anyway,I know I'm long winded so I will get to the review part here, sorry bout that.I put 40 hrs on it this summer while I was making about a 1.5 acre yard around our new home. All of that time was spent digging & hauling rocks and dirt with the loader, pulling a rock rake, and dragging a drag. The tractor never faultered. It has great power and very nice smooth controls. The loader hydraulics have great power, more than once I lifted the rear end of the tractor off the ground.Initially I wasn't going to get the cab, but now am very glad I did.It kept not all but a very large majority of the dust and dirt off of me, as well as keeping me out of the weather. The AC also works great.I can also tell you that the heater works great now that I have had some time to use it in the winter.
Weaknesses I do have some minor complaints to mention. To me the seat in the tractor seems to be tilted forward a little too much so that I slide slightly forward.I also have a slight vibration noise when pressing the hydrostatic pedal all the way to the forward position. And last of all, I have a bit of a slope to the end of my back yard, and the tractor feels to be quite tippy and have a high center of gravity (this is with the fel hooked up & nothing else).I thought it would be more stable on inclines. However, this may be the same on all small tractors, I don't know since this is my first one.
Overall Overall I am very pleased with the tractor, and have no real problems with it.Its powerful, runs smooth, is easy to handle, has good hydraulic controls, and starts good in the cold weather. As of now I only have the front end loader, but plan on getting the drive over mid mount mower in the spring, and getting the front mount snowblower in the late fall.

Implements : BH75 Backhoe, LA403 Loader
Purchased From : J&I Power Equipment, Olympia WA
Strengths Much nicer than the B2400HST I previously owned. This machine feels and works like it has much more than 30HP!!! The backhoe is incredible, and feels like it is "one" with the tractor with the sub-fram mounting - feels just like a "regular" backhoe, definitely better than a 3-point mount, and mounts/dismounts quickly. Subframe stays out of the way of any 3 point implements. Redesigned hydraulics keeps all the hoses and tubing out of the way and protected from damage - very slick! Quick-tilt steering wheel is a nice feature. I love this tractor!
Weaknesses Can't find any yet! I do prefer the older style white on black dash instruments, sometimes the white background is a little too bright!
Overall I've had this tractor for 4 months now, and I've put 177 hours on it. Not a single problem has come up at all! Works better than I ever imagined!

Strengths NICE CHANGES FROM THE PREVIOUS VERSION.
EASY TO USE
GREAT TURNING RADIUS
NICE UPGRADES
GOOD FINANCING PLANS
Weaknesses HEADLIGHTS ARE STILL VERY POOR (WHERE ARE THE 21ST CENTURY LIGHTS ALL OTHER COMPACTS HAVE)
*DASH .. GAUGES (DIALS) WON'T LIGHT UP AT NIGHT(IN THE DARK)NEEDS A CHANGE SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!
SLIGHTLY LIGHT IN THE SEAT OF THE PANTS.
WOULD LIKE TO SEE TRACTOR WEIGHT CLOSER TO 2250# +
HOWEVER THAT SAID, ITS A GOOD SIZE FOR LAWNS..
WOULD LIKE A WIDER FRONT AXLE.AND WIDER FRONT TIRES.
Overall GREAT TRACTOR...FUN TO PLAY WITH AND A STRONG WORKER. I'M VERY PICKY...THIS IS MY 2ND KUBOTA AND IF I DIDN'T FEEL IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT. I COULD FIND FAULTS ON OTHER BRANDS TOO.

Strengths Purchased the B3030HSDC which has the heated/air-conditioned cab. Price paid included LA403 front loader. Can't say enough good about the cab after eating a lot of dirt with open tractors. Strong, smooth engine with lots of power. Can't believe it's only 30 HP. Also has hydraulic control of 3 pt. hitch.
Weaknesses Haven't found any yet. This tractor can really dig dirt.
Overall This has got to be the best deal around for a climate-controlled, cab-equipped tractor. Highly recommended. 3 year 0% financing ain't bad either.
