Price Paid : $0.00
Years of Use : 3+ Years
Implements : FEL, Ballast/tool box w/trailer receiver, PTO genset
Purchased From : with held to protect Kubota
Strengths Great power to weight ratio particularly in the price. Machine handles extremely well compared to other tractors I've owned FEL has ample power and agility to keep me happy and I'm a curmudgeon. The HST handles what I have to throw at it, the rear DIFF LOCK may have a stiff spring on it but at least it works at any temp.
Kubota only for this picky old fart!
Weaknesses 3ptHitch valve way too touchy, very little control. Seat painful on this old back.
OEM generator only good to power those sickly headlights. **TO remedy get new "ALTERNATOR KIT" for $230 (includes everything to make it a real electrical system). The parts dept where tractor was purchased suggested I buy a new alternator "only" for almost $500 never suggested the KIT.
Be very aware of the hydraulic/trans oil viscosity in colder temp zones. Non OEM fluids thicken too much making machine sick, takes a lot longer to warm up and get going. At a chill factor below -40 even running a distance with FEL in float mode will make it stiffen up.
Overall Amazing little beast of burden. Had over priced green thing before, Never again. I'm Kubota orange from here on. Gutsy do it all, well designed and built machine. Great 4x4 only get stuck when I get stupid. Starts a lot better than others at -40. JoDale Perry heated cab a must at this latitude. Makes it almost a pleasure to push snow. The addition of real head lights and back up lights makes a tremendous difference (cheap at Princess).
But you really, really NEED the alternator KIT. The OEM tuna can sized generator can barely keep the battery charged in summer.

Price Paid : $0.00
Years of Use : 2-Years
Implements : FEL
Purchased From : Pristows
Strengths good power. 3 range HST. Tight turning radius. Easy steering.
Weaknesses poorly designed rear diff locker linkage that has helped cause two major problems with the rear differential on my machine. This is very poorly designed and difficult to operate properly compared to many of the other B series tractors. 2 rear differential failures in 220 hours.
Overall It has its good traits but because of one sub par component causing major problems I have to say overall its not the quality I have come to expect from my 17+ years running kubota b series tractors. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link and the locker linkage has taken away much of my tractors potential. Would be a great machine if you didnt need the locking diff as often as I do for plowing snow, etc, or if this was upgraded with a linkage like the b3030 for example. I would score it a 10 the whole way way across the board were it not for the series of diff failures I've had related to the poorly designed/built linkage.

Price Paid : $18,500.00
Years of Use : 1-year
Implements : FEL; BH; 6' LP RAKE, BLADE & TILLER; 5' B.HOG, BELLY MOWER & ROLLER.
Purchased From : pvt owner - had 170 hrs
Strengths
Easy to learn operating tractor, moving back and forth with HSD, while plowing snow or brush with blade or bucket; great power operating larger implements; oil and fuel filter easy to change; easy to start in cold weather; fuel jelled one time in fuel filter (-7 F) and I clean out fuel filter and was operational in <10 min; good traction w/4WD; back hoe is fairly easy to operate and has power to dig and remove up to 8-10" trees;
Weaknesses Poor lighting/head lamps; I replaced 3pt hitch with fast hitch 3pt system...great advantage over factory hitch when hooking & un-hooking implements and when taking 3pt hitch off (to attach BH) or putting it back on; it's difficult to maintain b. hog cutting height, I installed an adjustment chain on 3 pt hitch to maintain cutting height; tractor easy to roll/tip over on steep slopes; u need fluid in rear tires to stabilize; Changing Hydro oil filters IS A PAIN with the backhoe frame on this tractor, you need to remove rear tire to remove left filter; belly mower PTO hook up is a pain too, it should have a "spring loaded release pin" as the rear PTO shafts have on them.
Overall HP is more than enough...I operate most implements idle-mid throttle except rotor tiller and b. hog at about 3/4 throttle; HSD is great to control ground speed and great for plowing snow and pushing brush...easy to operate & turning radius is great; BH removal and hook up is pretty easy.,,especially since using a quick release 3 pt hitch system.

Price Paid : $22,000.00
Years of Use : 3+ Years
Implements : FEL,blade,finish mower,8"PTO chipper shredder
Purchased From : sherman kubota
Strengths Best tractor I've ever owned. Incredible power for a small tractor and very easy to use.
Weaknesses Headlights are just this side of worthless - bright enough to find the barn but not really bright enough to work at night. Has some unshielded hoses underneath that can get caught on limbs - could use a plate to cover them and the problem would go away - otherwise, perfectly engineered.
Overall Can't imagine a better design - bravo Kubota. The little extra cost of this machine compared with others in this class is well worth it. I have a buddy that has a Deere in the same class - no comparison, His is in the shop a couple of times a year and he doesn't push it nearly as hard as mine gets worked - I've never had a single problem. It took a real idiot farmhand to back over some stumps and break a cheap and easy to remove/install part. Great engineering and easy to repair. I'll never buy another Deere.

Price Paid : $34,600.00
Years of Use : 3+ Years
Implements : back hoe , box scraper , front bucket , bush hog , front blower,front blade,rear blade,heated cab
Purchased From : cooey bros
Strengths tractor is very powerful will lift 2000 lbs in the front bucket (yes I,m sure 200 gal water tank full :-) very manuverable tight turning radius great for tight trails rock solid machine no plastic parts. pulls 48 in. bush hog up a 30 deg hill mulching as it goes.. nothing stops this thing
Weaknesses to call those head light useless is an understatement seat sucks $120..suspension seat from princess auto fixes , backhoe that attaches to the three point is a pain to put on by yourself. I installed the curtis cab (good product) but it,s very noisey in the cab.
rear diff lock hard to operate
Overall this is my 3rd kubota great machines do your self a favor if you use the 3-point buy the quick hitch if you use it in the winter v-chains on the back and maxi studs in the front then you can delete the word STUCK from you vocabulary (and the word that rymes with it..)

Implements : Brush hog, box scraper, FEL, landscape rake, 6' blade
Purchased From : Longmont Farm Supply
Strengths Unbelievable power to size ratio. Extremely easy to use. Good positioning and function of FEL controls. 0% for 42 month financing, including implements. Maintenance points well thought out and accessible.
Weaknesses Would like to see brake pedals on left side.
Overall Outstanding value, great power, easy to use. It may cost a LITTLE more than some others but worth a LOT more. Calcium in rear tires allows lifting very full loads with FEL with no problem.

Price Paid : $16,000.00
Years of Use : 2+ Years
Implements : woods 1008 loader, 6' rake, 5' box scraper, 5' disc, 5' brush hog
Purchased From : Mulders
Strengths At the dealers advice, I had the rear tires loaded with Rim Guard so I wouldn't need a rear ballast box. The tractor hooks up beautifuly in mud, low ground around the ponds, hard packed clay, snow and ice. It has amazing power, and I seldom operate much above idle unless to transport. Controls are well placed, and the whole family enjoys using it. I have 5 Green machines, most with 3 cyl Yanmars; and the Kubota starts better in cold weather and is much quieter and smoother to operate.
Weaknesses The headlights must be the worst of any tractor ever made, slightly brighter than the lanterns on an Amish buggy. The all steel body parts rattle and vibrate more than John Deere. Hydraulic controls are jerky and difficult, the 3 point is difficult to adjust for depth.
Overall Great value in a premium tractor, I wish that a factory cab was available when I bought it in 2005.

Price Paid : $17,000.00
Years of Use : New Owner (0-1 Year)
Implements : FEL, MMM, box blade, brush cutter
Purchased From : Pytash, Toronto Oh.
Strengths It is a tank, climbs steep inclines, runs a 5' brush cutter uphill through small trees and brambles with no trouble at all, FEL, is much stronger than rated, and makes a 5 acre yard look well manicured with MMM. everything is neatly tucked away, no snags or breaks. Easy on fuel and comfortable.
Weaknesses Weak headlights, but good enough, bar from loader frame goes over fuel cap. 3 point hitch a little touchy.
Overall This is my second Kubota, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Highly recommend.

Implements : Front loader
Purchased From : Miscisin in Michigan
Strengths Smooth, quiet 4 cylinder engine,Good fuel economy, No external power steering hoses to get caught on brush, Easy to maintain, Good warranty offered, but never had to use it. Very strong built front loader with lots of grease points. 36 month 0 intrest financing. R-4 industrial tires work great.
Weaknesses Loader brace over fuel tank filler, Headlights not very bright, Quarter inching valve took some getting used to. Adjustadbe 3-point sway links not very good design.
Overall This has been a great tractor. Mine has about 500 hours on it, and has never had any problems. I'm very impressed at the amount of work this machine will do for it's size. I have 8 attachments for it, and it runs all of them with ease. When I buy another new tractor, it will also be a Kubota.
