Strengths Runs strong mows even high grass on my very steep uphill slopes. Only bogged down twice when mowing uphill in very thick, high grass and only then because MMM could not clear the grass fast enough. Good on fuel. Easy to get implements on and off. Strong enough for the work any tractor of this size should be doing. Four wheel drive is a real plus. FEL adequate for this size machine. Barlow is a great dealer to work with as well. Kubota parts and support generally easy to get.

Weaknesses Small Tranny fluid leak at block for FEL Hydraulics. I have got it pretty well stopped now. Location of Transmission filter not protected. Fuel and Tach gauge would beat the light system, and for this price it should have all gauges.

Overall Good little tractor and even though they are no longer being made, it is not a knock on the tractor is is a great little machine and anyone interested in a smaller machine that is a true tractor would do well to find a good used one!

Strengths very powerful for the size. easy on fuel. mostly like the hydraulic lifts and power steering. 4wd a big plus too. rear pto great I run a 20" blade buzz saw just above idle and cut 6" diameter wood without lugging engine

Weaknesses impliments from Kubota are rather pricey

Weaknesses loader is wimpy, 400lb cap. the kuboat grass catcher system ( pto )works well, takes an hour to install. needs to hold more volume. pricy too

Strengths Amazing little workhorse! I'm mainly posting because the previous owner said the installing the loader was a pain. I can take it off, pull tractor away, pull tractor back, and reinstall in less than two minutes! I've even done it in my Sunday clothes without getting dirty. It is very simple. Just get the order and technique down pat, and make sure you remove it on level ground. I have almost 500 hours on mine. It sips fuel and has plenty of power for the weight. I have no need for 24hp that is on the BX2400. I've done a lot of dirt, rock, and snow work with it. I can till my 20x30 garden in 10 different directions in 20 minutes. I mow 1.7 acres on a hill with a pond and trees in less than an hour.

Weaknesses Transmission oil filter is mounted in a stupid location. I busted mine off once. Anywhere is better than under the tractor! Because the 1200lb tractor first rolls over the grass with the front wheels before the deck mows the grass, the cut quality is not real great. It is great for ordinary large lawns. It is not good for golf greens. Attaching the tiller takes me 20 minutes every single time I do it. The tiller weighs 300 lbs so isn't easy to muscle around if it isn't in just the right position and angle.

Overall Fantastic tractor that will outlast my grandchildren (I'm 47).

Strengths we haven't found anything it wont do, we even placed 400 pound stone steps for our entry and while I wasn't sure the BX1500 was, no problem. Bought it for snow removal but have done most everything else with it.

Weaknesses rear blade has little to no control so I only use it for ballast. Would like real fuel guage, and oil changes tend to get a bit messy. Installing the Loader is a pain but it stays on for 8 months so what the hay.

Overall I would do it again in a heart beat, works like a charm for being the "smallest tractor with $WD" I could find.

Strengths Everything!!!!! Excellent tractor.....Mowing ability is great, very short turning radius with the 54"MMM. Fel works very well and is underrated for lift power. Have not used the snowblower yet but it is very well built and am happy i went with the front mount and not the rear 3pt snowblower.

Weaknesses No position control on the 3pt, Its either up or down. No tachometer which should be standard on any equipment running PTO's. No fuel gauge. Have no weaknesses at all with the tractors operation or durability.

Overall Excellent choice for the price. Does not lack power as some would think. I would compare the torque and power of this diesel with a 25 hp gas motored mower. A tip though......You can bargain on price on the tractor and the implements. Do some research online first before buying.
