Implements : FEL, 60"MMM
Purchased From : Private Party
Strengths Appears to have morwe back-up torque and H.P. than my BX22. Smaller ROPS than BX22 a plus.
Weaknesses If your are going to do significant FEL work get the BX22,23,24. I have abused the BX22 without issues. The BX2230 frame twists so bad when the front end is supported by one front wheel that the hood pops open and the cooling fan grinds on the shroud. This has occured several times. When hauling on a trailer you can see the difference in stiffness between the BX2230 and the BX22. Also, the seat safety switch had to go. It is a hazard esspecially if you have one unit with and one without.
Overall Except for the weak frame and several small details it is wonderful. But, for a few dollars more I would get the BX22 series.

Implements : FEL, 54" Belly Mower, Brush Guard, Mower Vac, 5ftBox Scraper, roof shade.
Purchased From : Moore Farm Equipt.
Strengths Price was for used only 50 hrs. Came with FEL.
I arrived only 1 hr after it was traded in on BX22 with FEL and Backhoe. Backhoe cannot attach to BX2200 because it requires a different main-frame.
Amazing power for its size. People often stop to watch it work. Mizer on Deisel Fuel. Much more efficient than gasoline engines.
Will do anything I ask of it. Will go through most walk-through fence gates. three-point PTO will run tiller, Mower-Vac, bush hog, PHD, generator, pumps, etc.
Fwd-reverse rocker pedal really slick and easy to learn. Hydrostatic "BRAKE" engages when foot pedal neutralized or foot is removed.
FEL system is fantastic. Removes in 30 seconds. Reattaches in 1 minute. Best system I ever saw.
Belly mower has LOTS of ground clearance when raised to top position. Works great as center-weight-stabilizing ballast. I loaded rear tires with fluid. Really important with front loader, and as pulling-traction weight.
Weaknesses Paint fades dull too easily. Hood latch rattles when engine shutdown. Air filter bracket breaks over and over. Made new one. Headlights worthless with FEL attached. No RPM Tachometer. Side control Decals come off- adhesive failure. Seat belt mounted too low, gets lost under seat spring.
Overall Last "estate" tractor I will ever need. Easy to maintain. Easy to start in all weather. I'll never go back to gas powered. Most reliable tractor I have ever owned. I am handicapped and I use this as my "transporter" moving all sort of thing around using FEL. "Jockey" trailers around yard. Transplanting trees and shrubs. Mows 2 acres uneven and hilly ground in less than 1 hour with sharp blade. Have both Bar Tire sets and Turf tire sets. This tractor is the best investment I ever made. So enjoyable to use, I almost feel guilty looking for new ways to use it. Looking over the newer versions of the BX2200 I see lighter weight FELs and plastic hoods, (quieter, but flimsy), and smaller hydraulic systems. My BX2200 has sold LOTS more Kubota Tractors after seeing this little "Might Mouse". Its size be-lies its capabilities.

Strengths GREAT LITTLE TRACTOR. VERY GOOD ON FUEL USE. GLAD I GOT THE 54' MOWER OVER THE 60', IT SEEMS TO MATCH UP RIGHT WHEN GETTING THRU TIGHT PLACES.
Weaknesses HOOD LATCH
Overall GREAT TRACTOR, HAVE 70 HOURS WITH NO PROBLEMS, MOWES ALL DAY, GREAT STEERING. REPLACED A B7100 KUBOTA WITH 2050 HOURS AND HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THIS TRACTOR

Implements : FEL, 60" deck, Ballast Box
Purchased From : SV Moffett Inc.
Strengths Fuel economy! Fuel economy! Fuel economy! Burning ~15 gallons a summer, I only make one run for fuel a season! Power has never been an issue on any project around my 2 acres. I probably could have gotten away with the BX1800. The diesel runs so queit, my wife often forgets I'm "playing"! When compared to my neighbors Subcompact Cub Cadet (same category of tractor), there is NO comparison. The engineering is superior from every angle: FEL, deck construction, 3 point, controls, deck hydraulics... the list goes on.
Weaknesses I agree with the others: Useless headlights w/ FEL attached. FEL a tad weak until you learn to curl-first-then-lift, not both at once. Hood latch takes getting used to. Parking brake should have a warning of some kind that it's still engaged. Turf tires lack ANY traction in dirt/snow.
Overall Would buy another Kubota product in a heartbeat. Great experience all around. And if you're on the fence like we were, the FEL is worth every penny we spent and then some.

Implements : King Kutter 48" rear finish mower, 4' box blade, loader
Purchased From : 1st Choice Kubota
Strengths Very powerful and dependable machine. Runs great and is very good on fuel. Very easy to operate with Hydrostatic transmission. I would never buy a tractor without this type of transmission having had this one. This little tractor was able to pull a box blade full of dirt with the scarifier teeth set to the deepest setting. The drink holder works perfectly with my large Coke cup. It doesn't fall over even when the tractor is bouncing around.
Weaknesses The bottom of the tractor could be protected better. I ruined my HST fan shortly after I started using my tractor because some small brush got up in it. The HST fan is made of plastic and is not expensive to replace but I think it should be protected better with a decent skid plate underneath it. I will probably make one for mine. The parking brake does not keep the tractor from being able to be moved and there is no indicator to remind the operator that the brake is set. There should be a warning light or better yet, an audible alarm that would sound if you tried to move with the brake set.
Overall Overall this is a great tractor for someone with a small piece of property. I maintain about 1.5 acres with it which I know is very small, but I am able to do things that I just could not do with it. The loader is powerful enough to do most of what I need to do and my grandson loves to operate it. I mow my grass with a rear mower because it have lots of trees I have to work around that I probalby could not get to with a 54" belly mower. The rear mower also makes a nice counter weight for the loader. I can't imagine trying to maintain my property without a tractor like this now that I've owned one.

Implements : FEL & 54" MMM
Purchased From : Woodstock Equipment
Strengths Maneuvers very well in tight places, especially with FEL removed. Has MUCHO power. I am still only running at 50/60% power for the break-in period and have cut 3 acres of 3' high grass and it didn't miss a beat...and that included some long steep slopes. The FEL has great power for its size and design. I know it lifts and carrys more than the 460lbs spec rating. It even digs well, but would benefit with an optional toothbar.
Weaknesses The lights are useless when the FEL is installed. There are a number of cheap modifications possible to improve this.
Overall It exceeds my expectations and does everything advertised and more. It has turned chores, that I used to avoid, into opportunities to play. I soon hope to try out the 3 point hitch with a posthole digger and I look forward to improvising a rock extractor/digger to help with rock removal on my property.

Implements : FEL, 48" Box Blade, 54" Deck, 50" Snowblower, Grass Catcher/Vac
Purchased From : Service Motors, Inc
Strengths Very powerful little machine. It has done everything I have asked of it and then some. Build quality is excellent. The newer style 4-way control for the FEL is well designed and a definite improvement over the BX2200. The tractor is extremely economical on fuel.
Weaknesses FEL is a little weak, but its a small tractor. Low stance can cause problems if used "off lawn", the underbelly is not protected without the deck installed. I should have went with the "bar" tires rather than the turfs, they work fine on the lawn too.
Overall This tractor has been a worthy investment for the property, I have no regrets other than not getting one sooner!

Implements : 60" Mower
Purchased From :
Strengths At 22HP the tractor has more than enough power to handle the 60" mower. I thought at first that the BX1500 would be way under powered but after seeing how well the 22HP works I am sure it would be just fine.
Weaknesses The adjustment to change the height of the deck can be difficult to get right. You can only change the stop points with the deck raised up. The hood latch, although apparently redesigned its still not great. Mine did improve as the paint wore off.
Overall Awesome machine. I did my homework and the Kubota seemed like the best bet. I have no regrets after 10 months of use.
I give it a 9 just because I'm being difficult. Its a great tractor!
