Strengths ll

Weaknesses I believe in the quality of the equipment (BX-25), however, I believe I just ended up with a Lemon! Initially I ended up with engine problems within the 1st 30 days of ownership, and now it is in the shop due to a gear in the transmission going through the transmission housing. A pin in the differential lock failed, then the remaining three snapped and lammed into the transmission gears causing one gear to break.

Overall Kubota takes no ownership in their equipment! They leave it all up to the Dealer to work through. It is under Warranty, but who wants equipment you have to worry about what will break next!

Strengths Quality, compactness, flexibility, dealor support.

Weaknesses Size and manner of hour meter (tough for old eyes to read--common problem on most tractors) Would like to see some on-board compartment to carry tools/do dad's.

Overall Overall, I would say this tractor is the bomb. I'm new to tractors, as my first tractor was a used BX 23 that I purchased this summer and traded in for the BX 25. The 23's hydro stick was a pain in the butt to read--with the back hoe in the way. The fill cap was in the same area and a pain. The 23's back hoe looked like a pain to drop; the 25's comes off easier than my Fisher minute-mount plow and the hydro stick/fill cap are very accessible.

Strengths This little tractor is quite the machine with very few flaws as compared to comparable tractors like John Deere and the Massey when looking at the specs and dollars, this machine is far superior. Smooth running and seems to glide over rough terrain. These are the Toyotas of the tractor world. Lots of power and strength but found the the turf tires are far superior to grab in wet conditions then the industrial tire. They tell me also the turfs are much better in snow and ice as you have more soft rubber in contact with the surface. Love the idea both PTOs can operate at the same time.

Weaknesses The hydrolics for the lift on the FEL could be stronger and for information on attachments on this web site is terrilble especially for wheel weights etc. Should also have a heavier 12 connector on back fender or on the rops for energizing electrical equipment such as sprayers etc. Waiting for snowblower on back-order because of apparent gear boxes, but dealer very accomodating and loaning me a new aftermarket one until mine comes in at no charge. Sometimes Your machine is only as good as the service provided from the dealer who sells it to you.

Overall I love the machine, save a lot of time and a great investment for time saving over the next several years. The ease of use is wonderful and has everthing you need in guages and a digital tach to monitor the proper RPM usage for the attachments. Good Equipment in Charlottetown were excellant in dealing with and very accomodating also the best deal compared to other dealers or comparable dealers as well. You cannot go wrong with this machine.

Strengths Just bought - lovely little tractor, seems to have lots of power, great manoeverability, FEL lifts anything that can fit in, BH very strong, not too noisy, and nice colour! Also, small enough to fit on a smaller trailer that I can move around by hand.

Weaknesses Needs an available 16" bucket, since there is the power for it. Also, the seat reversing mechanism is sticky, and I would like to see some snow tires become available, or at least something with ATV-like treads like the Mud-Lites. Would also like to see a thumb that you cn actually manipulate for picking up logs, etc.

Overall Have only had it a month or so, but it has been REALLY useful, and fun to drive. An amazing little tractor that seems tough as nails, and I love the fact that it comes properly reinforced for the BH.

Strengths Great Tractor, good on fuel, strong back hoe, forward/reverse peddle improved over the BX24. Steel fenders and hood

Weaknesses front loader lifting strength should be stronger

Overall I would buy another, having a cab would be nice for hot days and wet days..
