Strengths Bought it new oin May 1993, it is now 17 years young! My tractor was $9850 in 1993 with 60" mower deck. All I've done to it after 786 hours of mowing is: Change oil/filter every 40 hours with Mobil1 and Walmart filter, replaced the cracked original muffler, replaced one mower deck spindle, changed spark plugs once, added very little hydraulic fluid, just enough to replace the transmission fluid filter which I've chanmged three (3) timse since new. The mower belt was replaced once, the power take off belts replaced once.

Weaknesses It is extremely expensive to replace genuine Kubota parts. The dealer gives no discounts, and the only good thing, is that servicing it yourself using the workshop msanual is a breeze for even the most novice owner.

Overall I highly recommend it, if I ever need another tractor it would be a Kubota. The word from the Kubota mechanics is that the G2000 was the best tractor in it's class ever made, I agree. If you find a used one in great condition with service records I highly recommend it.

Strengths Built like a tank. Starts so quickly I almost do not need to turn the key. Gas engine is the best, most incredible, gas engine I have ever experienced. Tight turning!

Weaknesses No 4wd, no power steering

Overall Incredibly well build machine. Dealers and mechanics praise the 'older' G series.

Strengths tight turner plenty of power liquid cooling is very nice had it 12 years and no problems only replace the blades and belts along with the usual filter and lube changes easy removal of deck.......shaft drive

Weaknesses parts are expensive and dealers are kind of far apart

Overall very reliable and nice mower
