Strengths Cuts Good with great power for high grass areas. Has good reputation for resale

Weaknesses Transmission went right after warantee.Kubota has admitted of a transmision problem and the replacement was a diffrient tranny. Kubota stepped up and paid for the "parts" but not the labor, Franz tractor, Bradenton, FL stuck it to me with a $1148 labor bill and was the least understanding. Before Kubota admitted to a transmission issue, all Franz Tractor could do was cast ideas of how it was my fault. I felt this was excessive and got totally screwed. So did the Kubota rep but had no recourse.

Overall The tractor has been a pleasure in general. Kubota has admitted of a transmision problem and the replacement was a diffrient tranny. I will never do business with or recomond Franz Tractor and hope they loose thier Kubota Franchise. Yeh, I'm bitter.

Strengths Great diesel engine. 4 wheel drive works well.

Weaknesses On our third transmission. Replaced 5 front drive lockout cables so far. Terrible customer service.

Strengths Power steering is just perfect. The engine runs very smoothly. No obstruction for grass transport into the bag.

Overall I have had an other tractor and my advise is : if you want to spend the money than just buy the kubota gr2100-ii.

Strengths Solid build quality, very strong engine, effortless steering, tight turning radius, can cut any kind or height of grass with no problem, very comfortable seat and riding position, no ditch or hill is to steep for this mower to climb

Weaknesses expensive price tag, a few units had problems with transaxle but i think kubota will help those customers, too heavy to load in the back of a truck

Strengths great machine when running the 4 wheel drive outclasses any other mower this mower can go places no other mower can

Weaknesses the steering cables and build quality on my third set of cables also leaves a trail of grass behind if the deck is not cleaned after every useage

Overall I love this mower, but kubota need to rethink how they operate the four wheel drive!!! its a top doller machine but with poor build quality perhaps kubota should build the pro 21 and above range with 4*4

Strengths Tight turning radius, fuel economy, handling on banks, user friendly, comfortable seat, very powerful especially with the grass catcher (haven't used snowblower yet)

Weaknesses Flimsy hood, foot control is awkward to use. I'm very concerned about the hydrostatic transmission because I had it back to the dealer after 70 hours for a leaking seal. I was not very encouraged after hearing some of the problems they have had with this transmission.

Overall I like the tractor but I'm concerned about future transmission problems.

Strengths The tractor was bought used in Canada with only 50hrs and full service done at dealer at that time. The rear bagger was a must and was included slightly used, in top condition. This Garden Tractor is amazing. The diesel motor is quiet and very torquey and with the 54" deck it can clear heavy wet grass with little effort. The Bagger is very efficient. With the tough metal housed blower attached to the deck, the clippings and debris (small sticks included) are sucked up easily and further compacted into the collector. Living in Canada, I plan to get the snow blower attachment to help me justify retiring my perfect 30+ year old Toro walk behind blower. This thing can turn very, very tightly! With the 4Wd, it has lots of taction, just don't let it get into too deep wet mud with the deck attached (dragged in the mud). I did that this spring, got stuck and had to lift/drive it out with planks. I now have about 75 hours on it and have no complaints...the neibours are envious.

Weaknesses When cutting around large dense trees like spuce, the trend is to go counter clockwise on the left side close to the tree. This tends to brush the branches agains the deck lift leaver causing the deck to lift. I usually have to hold the lever forward when cutting around these trees causing the branches to rub on my arms and I can get quite sticky with sap. When the bagger is attached, it is difficult to get to the Fuel tank filler for topping up...due to it being so efficient on fuel though, it is not too much of a problem.

Overall Very happy with the tractor overall. Plan to tap into the hydralic lift on the deck to make a hydralic lift front plow or rear 3pt hitch. Neither of these are available from Kubota, but I believe it is possible to do this with little cost of parts and/or risk of damage to Hydrostatic drive.
